Are they in cahoots together?
Is Irene her real mother?! Which reminds me, Harliette and Lola have different mothers, right? But they both have pink hair. This most likely means that they got it from their father. I find that amusing. |
Nah, just a cult thing.
|
Hey hey now whoa.
Pierce didn't sign up to bang any Satan worshippers. |
No Satan worshippers here. Irene's head can only turn 270 degrees, not the full 360. That's a huge difference.
|
Took me a long time to make the post (Didn't help I got interrupted several times).
I can't help think that despite being as nice a guy as one can generally expect someone to be, Renny is causing half the troubles that require therapy (especially with Pierce's omake). |
That's because Renny's player is an evil bastard.
|
A skillful one at that if I can make my character put that many people in therapy just out of kindness. :3
Unless for some reason I try to make an evil character and yet make other people deliriously happy in the process... Then that would be some weird bullshit situation. |
Actually, to answer your previous question, Lola and Harliette have different fathers. Their memories of their mother are based on different experiences. Lola can only remember her mother as a kind, encouraging soul. Harliette knows her to be a cheating whore who tried to kill Harliette to get revenge for Harliette revealing her cheating to Lola's father.
Lola's father tries to be especially nice to Harliette whenever he gets a rare opportunity to interact with her, something that actually does nothing but piss Harliette off. I tell ya, nothin' can please that girl. Well, nothing but Mouse, murder, and more booze. |

Yeah, interesting stuff. Should probably get Renny to ask Lola about her family. See if that gets anywhere at all. (In fact, I'm editting it in) Seems like Lola's father was involved in inventing the pokebrid process judging from the fact he was part of a conference for it. Of course, one of the million dollar questions is "who is Harliette's father". (Burkmont was one of the guesses the last time this line of discussion came up.) |
She doesn't like being told what to do
The moment Charlotte gets wind of this destiny shit, she is going to go so wildcard you wouldn't believe.
e: Irene: Impact is fated to take over the world and kill many! *BANG* Impact: WHAT THE FUCK! THAT WAS MY FUCKING LEG! Charlotte: Dammit I need to get better aim. |
I approve.
Also, if Harliette didn't know that Irene was in the same cult as her, that means she went to Irene only because she was District Chief. Which means Irene really is the Watchmen's therapist. |
I plan to shred a lot of fat as far as missions are concerned. I'll delegate a lot of Ruin Generals and other bosses to optional bosses in optional dungeons (in other words, you won't have to fight them to get to the end of the RP). I'm hoping to have only about eight non-sidequest missions in total. Otherwise, we'll never get to the sequel.
|
Eh!? That's surprising!
Will we still get levels for those optional dungeons though? We'd still be developing upon entering the "Disc Two" material (as opposed to likely having reached level 15 before then) This would change a lot of things I was planning for my character (including when he confesses to Lola) since I figured level 8 possibly would be the most critical point for Renny. (He gets slayer level and a Signature Technique at the same time that could essentially be considered Renny's Desperation Attack / Limit Break) @Bard: Charlotte's only angry she wasn't named the fated one that would kill many. :3 |
Well, we've still got five missions ahead of us, three sidequests, and the one PvP arena sidequest (since you guys'll be left in charge of when it happens, I just took it out of the original mission lineup, although you'll still rank up from it).
That's...fourteen missions in all. That just seems like so damn many, doesn't it? I feel like Impact should actually try to take over the world every intermission and fail spectacularly until between Missions 7 and 8. |
Deleted and reposted to let you guys know I edited my post a fair chunk.
Gotta leave for work now though. AB, don't know if you missed it or you just had Lola ignore/not hear it, but Renny asked Lola a question regarding her family in my previous post. |
There. Edited. Grumpypants.
|
Okay, I gotta ask. What's an EvoWeapon?
|
I don't know myself, but I'd think they are weapons empowered by the energies of an evolution stone similar to an evolite (likely using the same principle). Yet from the look of AB's post, instead of merely outputting the energy of the stone as a pokemon technique, an Evoweapon also passes the energy through the user for boosts of some sort.
Of course, don't take my word for it, this is not something AB and I ever discussed for updates or anything like that. EDIT: Why do I get the feeling that Charlotte or Impact might have a hankering to join the Black Page Society? |
Charlotte doesn't need a religion as an excuse for murder. She does it because she is an evil and angry person who gets a kick out of ending lives, hurting people, and getting paid for it. She also likes calm walks on a sunny day and a good game of poker. Not like she's been hiding it.
|
I'm pretty sure that Irene and Jeanette (Not directly stated but seems a likely guess since she is directly involved with trying to unlock the Rezonscape) aren't murdering people left and right despite being in the cult.
I'd think of the Black Page Society as some sort of "Exotic Weapon Club" and learning how to weaponize your darker and chaotic emotions. So, instead of Charlotte feeling angry as hell and getting a ordinary gun or a pokemon, she gets a weapon or technique that is fueled by her own... aw shit, I should shut up... |
no please go on
|
UmbralGuide is getting done tonight. Post, tomorrow night if not tonight as well. I might as well extend the Pierce's Party event until everyone's spoken to everyone they want to.
EvoWeapons are the answer to Geminex's...ahem, opinion on how Pokemon are more effective than Slayers because of abilities a Slayer cannot possibly have. By using Evolution stones and Evolite just like creating Evoliths, one could create a weapon that can do things like summon sandstorms and grant the power to fly and breathe underwater, among many other factors. Basically, they're kickass tools that bridge the gap between human and Pokemon. All but one EvoWeapon (and you know which one that is) is in the closely supervised jurisdiction of the Recycled City, though that won't always remain so and it's imaginable that some of our cherished Engineers can start powering up you Slayers in some impressive ways. The Black Page Society is actually kind of like Irene's personal strike force. She needs things done that she couldn't possibly ask PATCA for. She hasn't really "activated" them yet (and this is most likely the only time you'll even hear about them since Irene doesn't need them to do anything during the course of this RP) which would explain why some of the members don't even know Irene founded it. She's still gotta lotta prep work to handle on her end first. |
You know.
Liz would wet herself for a chance to touch an EvoWeapon. Or, more likely, do anyone for that chance. |
