You know, normally, I'm not too picky of an eater and often like exotic foods. One of the few things I tried and found totally disgusting, though, is oysters. You'd think it was like clams, but apparently not. They're flavorless and have this nasty, gritty texture. It's like eating wet ashes.

I saw a show in which they were making haggis and it actually looked like something I'd try. Even though the first thing I'd do to it is dump the contents into a bowl or something and get that stomach lining far away from me. The contents seemed to be like typical sausage filling.

And if that's the case, the problem is? Sausage casings are made from intestine, after all. Stomach lining isn't all that different.

I don't like sausage casings, I like non-cased sausages, but that lining...bleh...

Egg fucking Salad. It always makes me gag.

... There is such a thing? Well, I suppose breakfast sausages...

At any rate, that's another thing I hate is breakfast sausage. I like other sausages, like kielbasa, but breakfast sausage just has this really sharp taste to it that I dislike.

Edit: ninja'd

Green beans. I don't know what horrible event happened between me and them in my childhood, but the very sight of them makes me nauseous. Which, unsurprisingly, means I really hate those commercials that have the green bean casserole. Blech.

Celery. Okay, maybe not the taste of celery (not the best, but I've tasted worst), but something about the texture does not jive with me at all.

And most seafood: Do not want. The exception to the rule has been halibut...but it makes me sick after, so...yeah...no seafood for me.

I can eat anything. My only beefs, so to speak, are food that is too hard to eat or food that gives me a reaction of sorts unrelated to the taste of the food.

For instance, I can't stand any meat that's far too chewy and requires a really sharp knife to cut it into bite size pieces, crab and lobster (so much work for so little meat!) and avocados make the insides of my mouth itch and pineapples or really citric acidy fruits make my tongue awful sore.

I am often surprised at reading or hearing what other people don't like to eat. I mean, cheese? The thing that makes the difference between a toasted sandwich and an AWESOME toasted sandwich?

I can understand alot of your reasons though. For instance, I love mushrooms, but if it weren't for the fact I am far from a picky eater, I could give them up after watching a video on how Mushrooms are made. They are grown in a manner that is vile, disgusting, and would probably kill me if I walked in the room during the growing process. We end up with nice, cute mushroom heads that are all cut up and clean but dear ME there is a Zerg/Flood/Darkspawn mess that our mushrooms come from.

But when I eat at Sake Express, Mmmm, MMmm! Shitake goodness! With shrimp sauce!

I've tried almost everything in this thread (minus the brains, not that I wouldn't try brains, just never had the occasion to.) and found most of them to be agreeable or at least not nauseating.

the only things I really can't stand are American cheese (or any processed cheese-like substance that isn't really cheese) canned vegetables and whale sashimi.

I absolutely hate the texture of cherry pie. It's not the flavor that bothers me-- There's just something about the cherry skins that makes me cringe. Fresh cherries, dried cherries, I can eat those just fine. I just cannot eat anything with cherry pie filling in it.
