Ooh, I just got the first trade paperback of this! I hear it's some of Alan Moore's most out-there work, which is obviously saying a hell of a lot. What do you think of it?

In the same trip, I got some more Planetary, which is pretty awesometastic, and iZombie, which isn't too bad.

I think it's my favorite Alan Moore comic. It does some astonishingly mindblowing things, starting around volume 2. Just artistically it's too cool for words, filled with gorgeous two-page spreads that do things no comic book thought of before at a rate of like once per five pages, and intense subtle psychological stuff that affects your mood when you read about these various magical locations that are in a sense moods. And there's people having sex with actual fireworks resulting.

The plot is kind of nonexistent, but I think the book has some of the finest characterization Moore has done, particularly in respect to women characters.

And the ending may stay with you forever. In a good way.

Speaking of Alan Moore and dicks, if you guys ever want to waste $15, his short comic series Neonomicon is about demon dicks raping policewomen. It was sweet times!
