I'm totally digging the color pages. :)

...he should've ordered the Chef's Choice.

You never know, that might have been worse. What if the Chef's Choice was somehow Master Fei?

Those guys don't have any idea of what a fair fight is!
Probably need at least twice that many guys to be even remotely fair. Except to the audience, of course. |
Either the bystanders were so shocked their faces blurred with surprise or the shear awesomeness of Wong melts the faces off normal people.
|
The thugs seem to be intended to be Yellow Turbans.
|
Of course it wasn't a fair fight before. He had those tough-looking peasants to help him.
|
Maybe he let them throw him out so there wouldn't be property damage. He doesn't seem to be completely in control though, but he's probably just taking his time and/or looking for an opening.
And, as long as we're counting irrational rules for equality in combat power not grounded in basic human values, those bandits outnumber him by quite a few. However since they understand that he is a martial artist they are quite likely referring to his element of surprise earlier, which they had possibly gained. If they are taking their surprise into account then they perhaps think little of themselves. |
Not sure why I didn't notice before, but it looks to me that while they're holding Wong down his right hand is preparing for some Mantis Fist action. Also, from the art it seems like they've grabbed high enough on his arms for him to move his elbows. I foresee Wong using leverage from his knees, back-flipping out and over his captures, and then hopefully comically busting heads together. :D
