Anyway, I set up a temporary bunker a little bit West of the pyramids. It'll be a temporary base for me until I can locate a nice plot of land for myself.

EDIT: Damn farm animals keep on invading... so I built up a little thing to keep them out.

Keep moving straight ahead, slighty hugging to the right of the big sandy dune in the distance.

When you reach a tiny shack in the middle of a burning wasteland of smoking timber and the occassional flaming pig, you're there.

The shack has a button operated iron door to keep beasties out. Right on top is a glass floor to keep people from bungling down the shaft when they walk in. Stairs are to the left.

Thadius has a small area carved out at this point in the mining shaft. We'll come back to it in a moment.

Further down, we hit a cavern system. Thad cleared most of the goodies out and stuck these doors in to keep monsters out in case he turns the difficulty up.

Anyhoo, back up to this door we spotted on our way down. This leads to Thad's general living and crafting area.

Down the ladder we saw to the right a few pictures up, we come to another crafting area. This area is for food and current ongoing projects.

To the right is a peacefull little sky garden. I messed up the screencap with it, but behind me there's a few rows of reeds in addition to the wheat.

I have been trying the make the tallest tower in the server. While it's true that Mine is it's....not pretty. anyone willing to spare a lot of tnt to see a spectacular demolition???

Shyria, I suggest making some columns to hold that that garden up, just for the look of the thing. The lava+water trick would be a quick way to do it, despite the small chance you could set fire to even MORE of the landscape.

Too late, the observation tower on my house is the tallest anything can be due to Minecraft height limits.
