Kevin's main plot is the best, and a team of Kevin, Hawk, and Carlie is completely unbeatable (and very entertaining) in my opinion. Angela and Duran always annoy the hell out of me, and I find that speed (Kevin and Hawk) trumps power in this game. With Carlie on healz and supportz, its the best trio IMHO, and I've tried every combination of characters in this game.

Besides, its worth it to have Kevin as the main character just to watch him plow through a stone wall because his dog died.... Also, he hits almost as hard as Duran in the night time while twice as fast.

And I like the original names.

I'm assuming your vote is for Kevin as main and Hawk and Carlie for supports?

Duelist Duran can do straight 700s at high levels where Kevin would be hitting for 300s per punch. Duran can hit twice while Kevin hits four times, so Duran still wins. Not to mention Paladin Duran with any shield and an agility buff makes him dodge nearly everything. With the sacred shield, he even gets to ignore a third of all elemental damage inflicted to him. Guy's a beast.

Dervish Kevin with Moon Saber at nighttime does ridiculous amounts of damage, and the attack speed generally makes him regenerate faster than baddies can damage him. Couple that with with Nightblade Hawk also with Moon Saber, and Necromancer Carlie with Tinkle Rain to protect status effects, summons, and Black Curse to reduce the baddies stats to ridiculous levels, you basically smash em fast, hard, and with no risk to yourself.

Also, Deathhand Kevin in Wolf Devil form does nearly in the 600s per hit (thats 4x 600s) and a lot more durability than Duelist Duran. So nyah. And the Dervish and Deathhand full screen techs are easily the best in the game, I've seen them do 999s time and time again.

...Does Black Curse stack with Jutsu stat-downs? I never tried it.

Wanderer Hawk + Swordmaster Duran + Deathhand Kevin. Poison Bubble, Moon Saber and crazy damage, in that order, if powergaming is wanted. Seriously. I'm not entirely sure if Poison Bubble and Moon Saber stack, though, but thanks to Poison Bubble you can spam Moon Saber, anyway.
