Update on my skillz at this game:

Ken the Eagle is boss. Quick, simple combos that I can keep pulling off. Loving him something awful.

Chun-li is nice, but I have this bad habit of activating rapid-kicks when I'm trying to do something else. Same issue with Tekkaman >.>

Batsu is a lot of fun. So are Viewtiful Joe, Zero, Casshan, and Kaijin no Soki. My second favorite is probably Jun the Swan, though, since her yo-yos are sexy kickass weapons of pure Julford love. The only problem is that with her, I have issues with the giant characters >.>

I hatehatehatehateHATE Morrigan and Tekkaman Blade. Specifically, their dashes. Morrigan's doesn't strike me as FUCK YOU bad (Though admittedly I haven't used her a whole lot yet), but Tekkaman Blade's is soooooooooooo slow to start that I have time to make a sandwich before I get two feet forward.

Also, PTX is kinda ridiculous. If seems like if I don't have a character like Saki or Tekkaman Blade, I can't do shit to the guy. Namely, when I use Jun the Swan I NEED one of those two just to beat the bastard >.> G-Lightan isn't as bad, because he doesn't have that aerial down attack where he hits an area wider than PTX is >.>

Roll is amazing. Disjointed hit boxes, healing super, good assist, and destroys when the opponent falls. She's not a joke character, but needs a good partner like cashaan or zero to really shine.

It seems i'm not alone putting Doronjo in the backburner of weaker characters...

Also, Ippatsuman has one bitchin special... i've yet to miss one of those, when he shoots a bunch of baseballs at once.

Morrigan is indeed way too slow, both her super and her dash makes her way harder to hit and her only really good special is the Super one.

Just out of curiosity... do you guys put the Special Damage option on Lvl 4? i kept it there since i first started playing the game and now i'm thinking if that is making my battles a bit too easy...

Any character with an abusable level 1 special (Ken the Eagles forward dashing thing, most beam specials, etc.) makes most fights too easy. I started at 1 star for special damage and most fights if I find myself in trouble I just back off and spam away as many specials as I can. The computer is hilariously bad at blocking them (I'm playing at level 6 difficulty, btw).

Currently liking Yatterman-1/Ippatsuman, having learned how to do one of Ippatsu's throw reset combos. Yatterman's tiger knee cancel combos are still a pain in the ass on the CC though.

I've got a crummy universal fightstick, it isn't great but it beats the fuck out of the GC controller.

Bleh, online kind of sucks. Constant input delay throws off everything I do and makes some things almost if not entirely impossible. Too bad there's minimal chance of starting up an offline scene in my area. Having played one or two good players I admit it's grating to see my character get caught in huge 20 hit combos that come off a safe low poke that can be spammed with impunity.

I'm sure it does. Both the stick and pad suck for fighting games. But I'm stuck with it until I actually buy the game and later an arcadestick.

Right now Saki and Zero are my favorite pair. Although Roll will probably share Zero's spot. Wish Viewtiful Joe had his english voice, his is the only one that I care about.

MvC 2 had wave-dashing, and now TvC has something that is essentially a spin-off of wave-dashing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9JVvBMyHiw

Watch as Yatterman 1 space warps all the way across the fucking screen and lands some jabs. This works with everyone except Morrigan, TekkaBlade and Gold Lightan afaik.

Holy crap.

Is that on purpose?
