I support this name if only because it's so anachronistic.
The traditional "indecipherable lengthy name intended to reflect she's from a fantasy world unlike our own" shtick runs old fast. Especially when they start throwing around the apostrophes like they're candy. Better to use a standard name and make the character's personality the focal point of innovation.

Hey, Necromancers are feared...might as well have a reason for people to run when they see her...as well as jokes involving certain things (if you know Slayers, you know what I speak of).

Now, I don't know about the original Baldur's Gate, but in the sequel, you could exploit the multiplayer system to have a single-player game with up to 6 user-defined characters in the party (sorta like in Icewind Dale).
Would make for some interesting inter-party banter if that were to be done here.

Also, people really love those dumb good brutes, don't they?
