I have sampled American milk, and it tastes like antibiotics and liquefied fat. Here is what you all should be drinking if you had the chance. It's not any kind of hyper-expensive Japanese ambrosia milk but completely average, homogenized and pasteurized milk made by cows with somewhat reasonable standards of living. Comes in 0.5% and 1.5% fat variants. Also 3% but we mostly use that for baking and fattening babies.

Whole milk, fresh as it comes, is awesome. The only problem is picking all the hair out of it tends to be a pain, so I usually go with either 1 or 2% from the store.

I usually drink 2% but once had the pleasure of drinking farm-fresh milk. At the time, I didn't care to acquire farm-fresh milk, but my mother is into organic food and crap like that so she bought this milk because it said 'unhomogenized' on it.
I later told her what homogenization was and how it was not a bad thing. But I have to admit, that was the best damn milk I've ever had after I homogenized it with a whisk. |
I still stand by my comments and think you guys are all suckers for marketing and that "1%" and "3%" are the same thing. Or possibly how much piss is in it.
