That was my thought too, since Devil May Cry has had three successful (though not necessarily good) sequels long after he left.
They probably just didn't think of it. |
Also it's not often that the character designer would have that much power. If the compan wanted to do it they could do it unless he had some specific creator rights somewhere.

I was perhaps wrong about Kamiya himself saying that, but I'm pretty sure that someone with control over DMC and in particular Dante has gone on record as saying that they don't want him to constantly have cameo appearances in other games, which is why he's absent from TVC.

That's probably Itsuno, who's been doing DMC ever since Kamiya left.

Guess who bought TatsuCap with his b-day money! Guess who has never done a hadoken in his life, too!
That be the power of Zero. |
Zero's fireballs merely require charge inputs, no hadoken motion needed for them! You'll be pleased to know that Zero is a good character, so no need to worry about him being a pain in the ass to win with.

Zero is so cool man. I do find it weird how Dark Hold is stronger alone than adding it to a cumulative of comboes, but whatever.

I'm especially liking that his movelist is really derivative; this is standard fare for fighting games with preestablished characters, but seriously like 99% of his movelist is just techs from Mega Man X4-Xwhatever reestablished with the occasional new input. |

Yo Mudah, I'm pretty sure you're knowledgeable about this sort of thing, and I can't find anything online - where's a good spot to pick up some bread and butter combos for TVC? My usual spots are running dry.
