The Sync tech rules were always ambigious and we weren't certain what rules we were following at any time. This one works enough as is, even if the other rules are not being applied yet. (Still following the old rules of 60 rage for Paradigm Shift)

If AB says that is how we're doing it. Like I said, there was so many inconsistancies with the rules, that might have been the actual rule all along. He had also said that Sync Techs would be usable outside of Paradigm Shift, but once again, rules inconsistancies made it hard to tell what rule was what at any given time.

Hence why I'm taking the middle path of paying for the Paradigm Shift at least, which is the bigger cost.

Go ahead and implement the first free SyncTech. It won't affect much right now and I don't expect you to lose despite the tactics ol' Ginnie is using.

I imagine DarkRice will be spending some time with Ricewood right after the mission. I'm sure the good professor will wanna make sure that DarkRice isn't a massive embarrassment outside of combat. With DarkRice's infantile mental state, there's some hurdles to jump, like teaching her to speak, read and write...

Given that I expect some time to pass between Pierce's sidequest and Mission 4, DarkRice should be available to party at the beach, too. And more importantly, she should be available to fight.
