Steel, the ability also stated that it's brightness and color was determined by how strong it was. If you want to give it a strength, I suggest altering the way it actually appears.

And since I'm playing as an Arc the Lad character, I'm envisioning the jams as the slimes in that game: just a big floating eyeball in a jello mold.

Back from Insomnia land, and all I have to say is that when I think of Jam, I think of insane AI cats and their MSPaint artwork.
