Is NPF dying?
 

The main fuel for the fire (8-bit) is now gone. I suspect I sense decreasing activity from day to day.

Is the forum dying off, or are we pretending to so that Brian gets scared into doing some continuation of a regular update comic?

Otherwise, fuck this, I'm moving to xckd.

I came back to 51 unread threads today. NPF doesn't even have a tummy ache.

I think the main thing to keep in mind is that the bulk of the regular membership stopped caring about 8BT years ago.

Pretty much this. I think if anything, it might be slower due to people all having finals and such.

I mean, seriously, the guy's got like five other comics, they're all better than 8BT, and he can actually make a good living doing them.

I was under the impression that not one of the regulars here actually cares about 8-Bit Theater at all. I mean, I do. But it's not my reason for being here and I'm not a regular, I'm just a really noisy lurker. Which is to say, I regularly lurk noisily. So maybe I'm a regular after all?

I'd really blame our loss in ratings for our imminent death. Network may pull us soon.

And yeah, very few regulars go to the 8-bit subforum from what I understand. I regularly read 8-bit (well I did), but I left that subforum after a while, only rarely checking in on it.

We came for the 8 Bit, we stayed for the Yodadog... and whores. Don't forget the whores.

I heard that in the next season one of the Admins will die in a helicopter accident, and be replaced by it's evil twin... who is also a robot.

Technically, he wasn't an Admin when it happened. He was demoted.

But what with Nightsie being gone, I'm not sure who could take up a new antagonist role.

Nightshade was less an antagonist and more like one of those recurring minibosses whose existence in the plot you couldn't really come up with a good reason for.

Though that probably implies too many good things.

I'm of the opinion NPF ended, and now we're just in re-runs, but infinite re-runs, like old Star Trek Episodes, and therefore have obtained quasi-immortality long after our actors grow old and fat, and will live on until the death of entertainment media.

Dang, does this mean I have to do one of those trendy "I will give you an avatar of some gay boys" threads?

The active threads have decreased by around 2-3 times what they used to have been (possibly because schools out and most people have more of a life?) but the amount of lurkers still roaming is clear.
Personally I migrated to GitP lately, but I should be working on getting those gloves and making a swordchuck video (100% complete before sept).
