I have this new DVD box set... what the hell is it?
 

So I went to chinatown with my fiance, and I've got the case in front of me now- It's all VCD's, the cover has 3 girls (Blue, Yellow, Pink) With butterfly themes, it's got Anime and CGI on the cover and there are two 'bad guys' on the cover, dressed in purple, with one having big hair. Like, Ganguro style hair. I'm trying to take a photo of it now and upload it to show you, but I'll edit that in.


we have no idea what this is called. The title is in... probably chinese? probably?

character names are written on the back- Sally, Maggie, Michelle, Lili and Luna.

It's Sailor Moon live action. I can say this because I know nothing about Sailor Moon.

Fiance wanted it, not me. :P She's a bit of an oddball. It's a VCD so it'll play in pretty much anything.

It was bought because of the cover, honestly. It reminded her of Sailor Moon, so I conceded. for $8 for 5 VCD's it looked like a night of MST3K for the household.

It's probably porn.

Put it in and watch it. See how much about the plot you got right afterwards if you can actually find any info about it.

It's not really porn, at least it doesn't follow what you usually get from Porn Cover in Japan / China also cause it's a multi disk

The small font above the title? Yeah. That look Chinese to me.
The actual title? The curly bit? Could be Korean, or Thai.

But it could simply be a fancy font, akin to western cursive, or some other fancy font and turn out Chinese.

My Knowledge (Languages) check revealed nothing about your particular case of untranslatable oriental language. Japanese is about as much as I'm willing to learn (tried Chinese, it's really fucking complicated). I can safely say that your DVD is NOT Japanese in origin. Or at least the cover isn't Japanese.

EDIT: It looks more like Chinese. Even the weird loopy stuff. Japanese normally has hiragana amongst the kanji (because kanji is mainly used for verbs and nouns, while hiragana is usually used for most grammar, punctuation, and basic words that need no kanji).

I bet its men cosplaying as sailor heroes gang banging each other. Nikose probably starred in it.

Then that raises more questions! What made him forget that he was in this one? Did he really appear in so many homoerotic cosplay pornos that in his memory this one gets lost in the mix?

So apparently, this DVD must have contained some vile spirit that came out of his television set & brutally murdered Nikose. That, or the viewing experience was so traumatic that his entire mind was wiped.
