I don't understand why there has to be so much negativity out there. I think that Vash the Stampede had the right idea, "Love and Peace!" That being said:

Communism: Karl Marx had a great idea, and if it ever is executed correctly our workers paradise will be a dream come true.

Gays: Dude likes a dude, chick likes a chick, I say have at it. As long as you kids are happy, no one else should have a problem with it.

Politics: You know our best years were when Bill Clinton worked with a Republican Congress, of course trying to impeach him for questionable actiivities in the Oval Office derailed those good times. I think both sides should try to find common ground and help our slowly recovering economy get better. So instead of Republican hating Democrats and vise versa, they should just agree to disagree. Negativity from the likes of Glenn Beck and Keith Olberman (who really should go back to sports by the way) really turns me off.

Well I think I have an interesting thread started. So that is my challenge, you give me an opinion and I will try find a way to love it and you for having it. ^_^

Also I'm of the opinion that dialetical materialism has too much foundation in rhetorical opposites and would be more powerful if reformulated into logical opposites. What do you think of my opinion?

I would postulate that, considering the application of dialectical materialism, a foundation in logical, rather than rhetorical, contradiction would be impossible to achieve. While a physical force may have a logical counterpart, dialectic materialism is based around abstract social forces and interactions, the counterparts of which are rhetorical at best.

In addition, the weaknesses of dialectic materialism doesn't lie in the question of rhetorical/logical contradiction. It is my opinion that its entire basis is flawed, as it bases itself on a materialistic understanding of dialectics (rather than an idealist one), but then refuses to aknowlege the imperfection and inherent unpredictability of a materialistic model of society. It assumes dialectic change, but doesn't account for the possibility of social stagnation.

Ok, so I may not love all of your opinions, but I still love all of you. This thread, like most of my other ones, is a fail. But I still love myself.

However I will die for your right to your opinions. Well maybe not die but I might face some mild discomfort or whatever.

Unless your opinion is that nobody should be allowed to have their opinions because for me to support that would be pretty paradoxical, really. Voltaire forgot to spell this out because really it wouldn't make much sense to die to support people's right to say this, right? Of course Voltaire said a lot of stuff, maybe he didn't bother thinking some of it through. I probably wouldn't die for some Nazi guy either, Nazis suck. Really it is a difficult objective position to maintain.
