Pokemon Umbral Theatre 27: Millenium House Science Enrichment Center
Don't worry, Ginnungagap is not GLAdos.
Anyways, today's theme for pictures is Snivy Is a Douchebag! http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/...ral/poke55.png http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/...ral/poke53.png http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/...ral/poke54.jpg Well, I guess the last picture only kind of half-fits the theme. Anyways, new thread. Do whatever. I tried looking for a new video but none of them are funny to me. At least none that are Pokemon themed, anyways. EDIT: Did my best. Lemme know if I screwed up somewhere. |
Fire solves everything.
|
Black Mage much?
|
Doesn't make it less true.
|
How would you know? Do you even have a Fire Pokemon on you?
'Sides, Seviper's got it covered. EDIT: More important, you're free to have Elizabeth tell 'em what they need to know about ol' Ginnie. |
Blaziken.
|
You win this round.
Anyways, next turn is your opportunity, Drac. It'll just be you and Jeanette going ahead. |
Whee!
|
^^ Nice.
BTW, Renny doesn't gain rage from being attacked from Ginnuagap. He's under Paradigm Shift remember? Also, since he's a Pokebrid, he would have gained 10 rage if he was directly attacked or when he attacks as opposed to his pokemons doing so. EDIT: What happened to Jeanette's action of attacking Wretch D with her Industrial Pressure Washer? |
By the way, who's Victoria?
|
Victoria Secret's is a real life company for women underwears and "chic" women style clothing. It's a brand name. AB is breaking the 4th wall by bringing in our real life companies in the Umbral universe for the sake of a joke. (I don't mind though!)
|
...
Dammit AB. |
If I didn't use the name of a real life company, the joke most likely would've fallen entirely on deaf ears.
But anyways, my first battle exchange post in well over half a year and I only made two mistakes? That's like...that's like a passing grade, isn't it? Anyways, fixed. Wretch D is dead and Renny's rage is corrected. Heh. Might as well not even do the whole Water Pool. Once that door opens, the water will have a way to leak out. If it closes, hey, Jeanette (and her Kyogre) aren't even in the room and Renny's probably already dealt with the Kyogre Ricewood Clone. ...hee hee..."dealt with". |
After that joke about Jeanette breastfeeding Myrie, I think the last thing we need to joke about now is little Renny "dealing with" the Ricewood clones.
|
You made sure that Jeanette got 10 rage for attacking the wretch, right?
Well, battle plan is actually fairly simple in a way for this round. Lola: Wake up Matthias and Heal Renny (Renny get extra 25% next turn due to Lola's ability) Jeanette: Attack Wretch A also killing it. Arceus: Judgement on Toxique B. Magnezone: Guiding Support again on Kyogre Kyogre: Divided Sheer Cold again on Wretch C and Ricewood Clone A. (Jeanette down to 20 rage. She had gain 10 rage for attacking last turn and this turn). Matthias: Attacks Toxique B if it is still Alive with Psychic. Someone: Use Defog. Mightyena: Super Fang on Jeanette Clone B Mollesk: Use Intrusion on Jeanette Clone B for Super Effective boosted damage and some interesting in-RP interactions. :3 Everyone Else: Dogpiles with heavy damage on Ginnuagap. Exact plan to be worked on later. But the battle is by far won, since only Ginnuagap is left and only spawning one ally a turn which is easily dealt with Guilding Support/Sheer Cold. I assume that if Renny sends out two pokemons and stays out of combat, he can't be targetted just like normal trainers? *Thus giving him a little time to heal * My other idea is for Renny to give Whitney a Rage Rocket, and have her use Black Hole on Ginnuagap the next turn. During the two turns it is sent to another dimension, we'd have the doors unlocked and go to the next section. We can let it get destroyed when the entire place blows up! EDIT: Of course, judging from the above posts, we might have a faster plan if Elizabeth does has some useful data on Ginnuagap that we can take advantage of. Once the post is made that is. |
Intrusion? Really?
Also, I doubt Black Hole will work. Also, you're using Guiding Support to give a one-hit kill move 100% accuracy again completely for free, and this is okay? |
I'll allow it this battle (hell, I allowed it the first turn where she used that tactic with Divide to OHKO two units).
But the rules'll fix it at the end of the sidequest (more than likely OHKO moves will be exempt from any kind of effect boost by any means). I honestly wanna get all the minor foes cleared out so I can make Ginnungagap have some real fun with |
It worked on Phantomere and one of the legendary pokebrid bosses in Renny's Sidequest.
Well, Dark types are only really weak to fighting types and bug types. Renny is injured and I don't really want to have him use Close Combat and have him knocked out in retaliation from the decreased defense stats. I didn't expect Jeanette or any of the NPCs to have OHKO moves that didn't cost rage when I made the move. Also, with the changes to the rules for the missions after, the opponents will be able to have the chance to try to fight back (depending on speed). Also, it's not "no cost" but technically 2 actions to make one action actually work. (Also it's currently costing 25 rage to divide, but's kinda unrelated) Plus, I expect AB to specifically make some foes that are immune to OHKO moves in the future or at least wearing items that allow it, so they can't be OHKOed without removing those items. (Kinda like how we fought those enhanced Pokemercs with multiple abilities, THAT was tricky!) |
One action that's a one-hit kill on anything short of a boss.
For stronger enemies, you'd usually need at least three actions to pile enough boosts on yourself. And Liz isn't going to be saying anything this turn. |
Anyone noticed that AB implied that Dinner was easy to seduce or at least get in bed?
|
More like I implied that she can be hopelessly dumb.
Take this omake for example... Shizuka: "Why did you destroy Fainas Metropolis and dozens of square miles of suburban housing?" Dinner: "Huh? I destroyed a bunch of stuff? I don't remember." Shizuka: "Ugh...let's start at the beginning. What were you doing before I came here?" Dinner: "I was opening a jar of pickles." Shizuka: "With a gigantic explosion that left a city-wide crater?" Dinner: "...A very...difficult jar of pickles?" Shizuka: "You have got to be kidding me." Dinner: "Oh, hey, the lid didn't come off. Lemme try something else." Shizuka: "No, wait!" *roughly ten minutes later* Shizuka: "Dinner, stop trying to open jars that way!" Dinner: "But the lid came off, didn't it?" Shizuka: "Yes, but now a giant laser has nearly split Honmyr in two and heated a huge chunk of the ocean to boiling, driving innumerable sea flora and fauna into extinction and disrupting the tectonic-" Dinner: "I like pickles." Shizuka: "..." Dinner: "..." Shizuka: "Yes, Dinner. Pickles are good." You may now have a giant anime sweatdrop. In hindsight, it could indeed be very easy to get Dinner into bed. I'm not sure you'd want to considering she could rend you down to the subatomic level, though. |
There's a reason Superman and Lois Lane don't have children and this is it.
No, really. |
I really hope that 4th wall breaking remains low.
I have no problem with the Victoria's Secret joke though. Pokemon references real life shit a lot. |
You mean the fourth wall breaking in ESTOC?
Meh. |
Ok, just as a heads-up, I'm working on the battle plan now. Almost done
Also noticed that the enemy Darkrai's Bad Dreams did too little damage to Mirror and Matthias, since it always does a set 12.5% of the target's maximum hitpoints. (Doesn't change a whole lot but just throwing that out there for total honesty sake) EDIT: Plan done. Of course, feel free to look things up. Essentially, all foes should be knocked out except for Ginnuagap which will also take a pounding, especially from +6 Special Attack Helping Handed Arceus. Basic summary: Lola heals up Renny and cure Matthias (Mirror sleeping this round). Matthias defogs the poison clouds. Charlotte kicks Arceus and has Mightyena Super Fang the Darkrai clone. Jeanette gets rid of another wretch. Metagross finishes that Toxique so it's not in the way when Kyogre/Magnezone combo OHKO the last two ruin types. Pachrisu helping hands Arceus and the rest attacks Ginnuagap and Darkrai clone (knocking the clone out in the process. Next turn we can just have Magnezone and Kyogre OHKO the clone that is spawned and we dogpile the hell out of Ginnuagap, unless we learn something important during the outcome of this round's actions. TOTAL BATTLE PLAN AB: Regarding Naomi in ESTOC. Is she wearing a skirt? (Would change Disturbance's reactions depending on whether or not they got upskirt action.) |
Sure, she's wearing a skirt.
Observances about Disturbance, by Armored Bishoujo: 1. If or when Disturbance gets other forms, he'd probably have to stick with other three-headed forms like Dodrio and Hydreigon. 2. Disturbance keeps a diary where the only entries each day are the color and pattern of Naomi's panties. 3. Disturbance may or may not have a foot fetish. |
MENARKER STOP DELETING YOUR POSTS YOU DOUCHE
|
Writing my post since no one seems to have an issue with the battle plan.
Also, Pierce seems to have a curious lack of reaction to Renny's paradigm shift. Granted, he had a shitty day! But I wouldn't think that he would behave as if everything was the same. Not that you need to edit or anything. Just saying. EDIT: And I deleted that ONE post (and saying much of what I said before in this one) because of that time warp thing showing AB as the last poster and to let people know that I was going to start writing. |
Well, I wrote that post kind of in a hurry.
Also, Pierce's reaction was sort of like "Huh. Okay. Somehow, I'm not surprised, but whatever. Bigger issues." |
Yeah, I could see that from Pierce.
AB: I just noticed something really weird/wrong with your last post. Basically, Quote:
|
Meh.
If you're actually going to do the whole tentacle rape thing, methinks it should've been slightly more graphic. Just slightly, though. |
Was going to leave it up to AB. Have him surprise me a little. I just needed to show that Mollesk actually was doing something like that. Otherwise, he might not know whether it was acceptable to roleplay Mollesk doing something so extreme in the actual RP.
|
I forget does Ginupagap have a type, and if so what is it?
edit: Charlotte frowns upon you Menarker. |
It's an exceedingly complex machine that kinda has a bug motif and spawns pokebrids... kinda like this from Earthbound. So no actual type. We're just hitting it for raw damage now.
http://images.wikia.com/ssb/images/3/3b/Porky.jpg Hehe, and I liked your post. ^^ |
You know you've gone wrong when even Charlotte is telling you you crossed a line.
|
Its fun to have her be disgusted by something.
|
Hehe, it was funny.
BTW, I've been discussing and going over the "finishing touches" to the database, improving things in general. One of the things that came up as a result was changes to medics again. And we won't have Triage Units. But to prevent Medics from being used only as vending machines that never step into combat, here is what happens. Medics are protected when someone adjacent to them spends an action to protect them. This can be an ally in the formation or their own pokemons (of which just about all medics have). Naturally, this means the following: 1: Medics still have the option to use two items rage-free, but if they do that, they are left open unless someone beside them is spending an action to protect them. 2: If they use their own pokemon for protection, because they are likely to get damaged in the act of protecting them, medics are capable of gaining rage to fuel their abilities, whether spamming items or their other techniques. Before they were unable to gain rage unless they left themselves vulnerable to combat. Of course, the extent they can maintain this protection depends on them maintaining their pokemon's wellbeing or relying on others assistance. 3: Because spamming items is no longer the requirement to become protected, a medic isn't forced to use items to be protected. Thus, they are able to contribute in other ways like attacking directly, using a second pokemon or using support moves that their form or skills offer. I think it's a more balanced AND a more interesting change for medics that prevents them from being wedged into one role to keep them "safe". Any thoughts to this? |
That picture does represent Ginnungagap very well, except with a more rounded body, perhaps only six legs, and a lot less color since Ginnungagap was never featured on Pimp My Giant Mecha.
X-Zibit: "Yo, dawg, I heard you like type defenses in yo' giant mecha so I put some kinda device that changes yo' mecha's type on each phase and it can only be vulnerable to a single type in any of its eight configurations!" And that's not all that Ginnungagap has to pwn your face with. Not even Dracorion is gonna see this one coming. |
I'll put a fishbowl, in your mech!
|
Oh, and while we're on the subject of your disgusting acts, Menarker, the next time you tell me that if I go for more girls than Shizuka and Chizuru you'll kill Pierce, I might just remind you that you're all:
"Oh ha ha, I'm officially going after Lola while not so secretly hooking Whitney while sneakily rooming with Milsha, oh-so-innocently, because Renny is only seventeen and gullible even though I'm his player and a sick son of a bitch." Because, seriously, the sheer ballsness you demonstrate with that is just obscene. I mean, I at least have the decency to be honest about it. |
I actually have no intent to hook up with Milsha at all like I said before. In fact, she's the hindering factor to any possible relationship early on because there is no privacy with her sharing the same place, making the place a rather awkward but otherwise innocent cohabitation.
Anyhow, no thoughts about the medic balance? |
Who the fuck is Milsha
|
One of our enforcers introduced at the same time as Kurika, Heidi, Aster and a few others (end of Renny's Sidequest)
She is the country farmgirl who is more intelligent than she looks although she behaves as if she is naive and wields a technologically advanced BIG ASS SWORD. |
How is she relevant to Renny at all then?
|
Aside from one conversation he shared with her and the others, nothing yet. It's sort of out of character details you'll find out later.
Long story short, Renny rents a place of his own (or lives in one of PATCA's apartments), but can't afford it by himself/ legal issue that he's a minor, so he needs a room-mate or two. Misha is looking for a good cheap place and a room-mate she can sufficently trust. That's pretty much the extent of it. |
Oh okay. I thought Renny was just living with his parents which would be kinda hilarious considering he is in law enforcement.
|
Oh he was all that time. But he won't for long. :3
His mum's a lawyer, so there is a little law enforcement history though. (Not a defense/prosecutor though) |

Whatever.
Guess no one has any issues with rules modifications by far. Are you going to make a post soon? AB just started looking at the posts recently apparently. |
I'll have that post done tonight. There's a couple more phases to this one since Pierce and Ricewood will be temporarily separated from the group.
|
And to top it all off, Pierce is laughing at rape.
|
...
That. ... Jesus Christ. |
Charlotte frowns on Pierce as well.
|
Psh.
Gem, you don't get to talk. We all know that assrape is going to be rampant in Impact's regime. But no, seriously, Pierce is just laughing because this is happening to Renny. |
Okay, no more nekkid clones of hot anime women since you guys can't be adults about it.
Actually, this is hopefully the last time clones are used...at least until the sequel. |
Did you really expect us to be?
That's so sad. |
Well, at least something good came out of it...
If Pierce is laughing, that means he's no longer angsting about his past. |
Exactly.
|
Quote:
http://www.nuklearforums.com/showpos...1&postcount=87 In fact, the actual post was much tamer, especially since I'm leaving it to AB and everyone's collective imagination to fill in the rest. That said, Pierce's reaction was interesting, even if it doesn't make Renny feel better. Although Renny wouldn't blame him for that, when he himself thinks the situation is screwed up. EDIT: Hehe, Mirror is blissfully unaware of the entire tentacle thing, thanks to her being asleep (unless she wakes up early). |
That...that was sarcasm, Menarker.
Geez, I know it's difficult to tell when Drac is just kidding but me? I don't think I've ever been serious is a discussion/theatre thread. |
Wait.
Wait. People think I've ever been serious in a discussion thread? What the fuck? |
So is Pierce dead or what?
|
My dark works are completed. Questions if confuzzled.
You may now frown at me, too. This takes Beauty and the Beast to some interesting and horrible places. |
... I... need to head for bed. Shocking. Interesting though...

EDIT: Oh geez, Liz just has to make everything worse, doesn't she? Also, AB, since Ginnungagap was Bug/Fire type last turn, it should've been vulnerable to Rock, so Adamantitar's Stone Edge should have actually hurt it. |
AB, a question.

Not that it matters, given that Elizabeth is giving good advice, but it would have confused me if she didn't come by. Also, Shouldn't Violet go with Pierce as his enforcer? Ginnuagap didn't create a new clone. >_> Given the recent conversion of the last one though, it probably analyzed it wasn't worth the risk. |
|
Impact and Charlotte are going to have SUCH a hard time getting Irene to digest the entire debriefing of the mission especially the most recent series of events...
Impact: *Having just finished his summary in exasperation* I don't know what else to tell you. The entire mission was one huge clusterfuck after another. Irene: ... You're screwing with me. Must be. Am I on candid camera or something? Charlotte: Sorry. PATCA is seriously that retarded. Irene: Gods, why I did agree to take over for Rayleen...? |
Personally, I think the best part of that debriefing would be:
Impact: "...And then the Darkrai clone fell in love with Mollesk." Irene: "Gleep?" Seriously, we have a new standard of WTF for this RP by which all other WTF will be measured. And which bit in particular was that image in response to, Bard? EDIT: Crap, I forgot to have Elizabeth clarify that she knows what type Ginnungagap is by looking at the last attack it used. Added now. Oh, and it probably isn't clear, but Liz hacked PATCA's comm frequency. |
Just to ask, but while Fire type IS the best type since it is quad damage against Grass/Steel, would Fighting type also help too due since that is also super effective against Steel? Or does Ginnuagap only get one weak per form or something? Just wondering because if Renny attacks, he's best off with a Fighting type move for STAB and higher base attack power.
EDIT: Nevermind. Missed the part where Liz said "weak to only one type" Anyhow, 8 configurations of 2 type combinations that never repeat. For a total of 16 types. I'm imagining that Ruin type and Normal types might not be the other options. Bug/Fire was last turn. Grass/Steel is this turn. On the off chance that Liz has to leave soonish, just keeping in mind what phases it has gone through, so we can better guess on its secondary typing. Because as far as I see, there was no hint that the first form was a fire type or any hint that its current form was a grass type... Anyhow, a few things to note. A: Ginnuagap only weak to fire types this turn. B: Ginnuagap protected from contact based moves. C: Granx's dead body is inflating! Might be poison gas reacting. Need to get rid of it... Will think of plan at a later point. Charlotte having two fire types will definately make her a star this round. EDIT: Well, Impact has enough rage for CC&C, now that Pierce is gone. I'll take that into consideration... |
Well yeah, but after Ginnungagap uses an attack, there's only a limited pool of secondary types that give it a quad weakness.
You can narrow it down further by eliminating the secondary types that would have limited match-ups. Okay, I'm not explaining it very clearly, am I? Let's just say that you'd have to look at the type of the attack Ginnungagap used, see which types are effective against it, then see which types those are effective against, then which types are effective against those. And then compare and narrow it down to one or two. That wasn't much better. Whatever, you'll be able to figure it out as Ginnungagap reveals more types. Liz will tell you after Ginnungagap attacks which types it is. EDIT: Right, all of Ginnungagap's weaknesses are quad weaknesses. That might not have been clear. |
Basically an improved Wonderguard that only hits quad weaknesses and all of Ginnugap's forms are chosen so there is only one.
But like I said, the hard part is guessing Ginnuagap's second type. We only see him use one move at a time for the purpose of guessing one of his element and there are no other hints that I noticed to its second form at any giving time. Although quad weakness only helps as it greatly narrows the choices down to what other type if combined with the one type we see would give it a single quad weakness. EDIT: Basic plan idea so far... Impact uses CCC to get all enforcers into action. Someone use Sunny Day to boost fire attacks. Whitney uses Black Hole to banish Granx's swelling corpse before it becomes something like a bomb. Those capable of using strong special fire attacks on Ginnuagap, do so. Those who can't either finish off the ruin types or support in some other manner. |
Okay, that should fix everything.
Pokemon Umbral: the only Pokemon that'll never, ever see a video game or anime adaptation that strangely enough isn't just hentai. I don't expect Pierce, Jeanette and Lopunnish to be separated from the group for too long. 24 minutes isn't very generous when you're deep in an evil laboratory. A few of Ginnungagap's configurations feature a type that is only weak against only one other type, which is why I had to have it not use that type of attack or it would inadvertently expose it's own defense strategy. |
Quote:
God, I never thought I'd type those words. |
In hindsight, I am now filled with a terrible fear...
I think DarkRice will become PATCA's mascot. Oh, well. An asskicking Legendary Pokebrid is much better than useless assholes like Snarf. |
This has been by far the most absurd, frantic and interesting day of Renny's life by far. A roller coaster of horrible, wonderful and OMGWTF events which promises to make the next several months if not years of his life a maelstorm of crazy incidents.
One of which being trying to find out where and how to take care of a naked mentally stunted legendary pokebrid that hungers for one of his pokemons and whom causes painful nightmares to everyone sleeping in range of her. |
Pierce will take her off your hands.
His heart-eating, nightmare-causing abomination will counter her nightmares, at least. EDIT: Also, Quote:
Probably have to be rated PG-17 at least, though. |
Charlotte: Renny, we are NOT keeping the abomination! We are leaving it behind for fiery doom or I will administer fiery doom personally back at HQ!
Impact: No Pierce you can't keep it either! Charlotte morally objects to cloning. But seriously, Darkrice is leaving me a bit nauseous. |
Unfortunately, it's too late to stop now.
We're on a freight train straight to hell and we're not getting off until we crash into a wall or run off a motherfucking ravine! Chugga-chugga, Chugga-chugga, WHOO WHOO! There's no earthly way of knowing Which direction we are going There's no knowing where we're rowing Or which way the river's flowing Is it raining, is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing, So the danger must be growing Are the fires of hell a-blowing? Is the grizzly reaper mowing? Yes! The danger must be growing Because the rowers keep on rowing! And they're certainly not showing Any sign that they are slowing! |
Remind me not to have Renny take candy from Pierce. ^^;
EDIT: Anyhow... Proposed battle plan. Impact: CCC. Pay 60 rage to get all enforcers acting this turn. Lola: Chimecho form. Use Telekinesis on Wretch to negate its evasion. Cure Mirror of Sleep. Darkrice: Sunny Day. All fire moves boosted. Cecilia: Mesmerizing Dance (Psychic) on Wretch A. Mirror: Hammer Fall on Wretch A. Renny: Rage Rocket Whitney. She has 75 rage. Pokebrid action on Toxique to lower its defense by 1 stage. Offers Darkrice his shirt. Kurika: Boosted Elbow Smash (Psychic) on Toxique. Charlotte: Kick Sol-leks to increase his Special attack by 3. Sol-leks: Overheat on Ginnungagap Buck: Fire Blast on Ginnungagap. Mio: Raikner Form. Fire Blast on Ginnungagap Dante: Fire Castform mode. Paradigm Shift > Uses Fire Blast on Ginnugagap. Whitney: Paradigm Shift > Black Hole on Granx's body. Remove it from the field and possibly destroy it. A very productive turn hopefully. Lots of firepower while clearing up the loose-ends. Charlotte and Matthias definately shines this round. |
