Chloe.

.....is the name of my daughter, born today at 7:13 AM.

Words fail me. No snark here...I am smitten. Expect a slightly less vitriolic shiney for the near future....I'll be back to normal once POS upsets me again....until then...

Let's give her a great welcome. =)

Amake 12-08-2011 09:46 AM

Welcome to the world, Chloe. Hope you'll like it.

batgirl 12-08-2011 09:49 AM

Many congrats to you and Rai on the new addition!

Krylo 12-08-2011 09:53 AM

Call me when she's 18.

Steel Shadow 12-08-2011 09:56 AM

Congratulations Shiney and Rai! And welcome to being alive, Chloe. I hope you enjoy every second of it. We'll be cheering you on every time you give your parents hell!

Ecks 12-08-2011 10:08 AM

Congratulations shiney
Welcome to Earth Chloe
Don't forget, you're here forever.

Flarecobra 12-08-2011 10:10 AM

I assume the GPS chip is already imbedded so you know exactly where your children are at all times? :P

But in all seriousness, congratulations, and I hope she grows up proud of you two.

A Zarkin' Frood 12-08-2011 10:25 AM

Kudos for taking the responsibility for unleashing another life on all of us.
Congrats.

tacticslion 12-08-2011 11:05 AM

It's wonderful! (also, this tag is highly appropriate and not sarcastic at all)

Congratulations! Duuuuuude, that's fantastic! I hope you have a great time! (I know we are!) God bless you and your (newly enlarged) family, man! :D

16 is enough.

Oh, and congrats Rai and shineyassholeorshitface!

Geminex 12-08-2011 11:21 AM

I'm introducing her to Ayn Rand as soon as she's old enough (i.e. 6)

Also, congrats!

Seil 12-08-2011 11:31 AM

Whoo baby!

Donomni 12-08-2011 01:44 PM

Congratulations!

...you do have the full My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic curriculum for when she turns 5, right? It's important she knows of NPF's rich cultural heritage.

...well, the stuff that won't scar anyone for life. Kinda limits our options, really.

Many wishes for Chloe to live a completely healthy and fulfilling life. ^^

And I almost fully expect you to go 180 and excessively broadcasts about your daughter every tiny yet happy milestone. =P

Chloe was the name of a movie where a young prostitute pretends to seduce the husband of a couple to make the wife jealous so the prostitute can actually have sex with the wife, but the wife doesn't know and then she finds the prostitute also sleeping with her son, and after that the wife commits suicide.

I mean, congrats! And pics plz.

Allow me to direct you to my library....

Congrats Shiney. And may she never see this site. Who am I kidding, by the time she is our age they will have internet hookups straight to the brain.

mauve 12-08-2011 02:37 PM

Congrats, Shiney and RaiRai!! :D

TDK 12-08-2011 04:24 PM

I have never understood the spelling of this name and it is supposed to be 'clo-ey'. I would pronounce it Ch-low, rhyming with 'row'. :I

Osterbaum 12-08-2011 04:29 PM

Put an accent on the e: Chloé. Thogh I guess then it becomes 'clo-ee'.

A Zarkin' Frood 12-08-2011 05:14 PM

I always thought it was supposed to be Clo-ee. It's also the only way I ever heard it being pronounced. Anyway, I guess actual pronunciation as well as spelling is up to the parent's whims.

POS Industries 12-08-2011 05:47 PM

But no seriously, grats.

You know you want to Shiney :3

shiney 12-08-2011 11:47 PM

Thanks everyone. :) There's a pic on my Facebook account if anyone is interested, failing that I will get one posted up here soon.

Archbio 12-09-2011 12:04 AM

I congratulate you on not spelling it Khloe!

Leaving her the option of spelling it that way briefly when she's a teen, and then being somewhat ashamed by that phase forever after.

Satan's Onion 12-09-2011 12:40 AM

Naw but really, great for you! Congratulations!

Congratulations to you and your family shiney! You can't get a much better Christmas present than that.

Except maybe a pony. But oh well.

Nique 12-09-2011 01:29 AM

My only advice on raising kids is too teach them things wrong becuase it's funny

Whomper 12-09-2011 01:30 AM

*emerges from 8-Bit Forum retirement for this*

Congrats, shiney. I apologize in advance for your tremendous loss of sleep.

Magus 12-09-2011 01:51 AM

Build a long-term bomb-shelter for you and your family so that your daughter can recreate, in real-life, a female-version of Brendan Fraser's Blast From the Past 30 years from now.

Terex4 12-09-2011 02:14 AM

Congratulations you two!

Seil 12-10-2011 02:16 AM

I have just watched The Lion King and the supposed bit is for a monkey to raise the lady over a terrible drop after rubbing fuit juice on her forehead. So... yeah. What you need is POS, some Five Alive, and Pride Rock.

Oh, and some grovelling animals. Buy us some plane tickets and we'll be just fine.

Seil 12-10-2011 02:20 AM

That's "gravel."

Great Cartoonist 12-10-2011 12:55 PM

Um.

Um.

Um.

Wow.

Congratulations.

That's... really all I have to say.

Listen, I know age is 'only a number' and maybe it's a little shallow and maybe douchey to have such a necessary prerequisite and all, but there's legal ramifications to consider here.
