Warhammer 40,000

(was unsure as to where to post it, as the only RPG in 40k is an Ork Rokkit... or Inquisitor depending on how you look at it.)

Anyone else here play 40k? or am i alone again?

Dante 12-25-2003 04:41 PM

Rong forum man... I know about 40k, but don't play it (You just try buying those damn miniatures on $400 a month)

Bob The Mercenary 12-25-2003 04:49 PM

I technically play it. The only army I could afford though was the Last Chancers. They are still in a sealed box in my closet come to think of it. I bought a full 3000 point Wood Elf army for fantasy and that's where I'm stopping I think.

I've got some cast-off space marines...

And once I've got some income, and a spiffified sax, I'll start working on the Spahnish (sic) Inquisition!

I actually wanted to collect the Tau, because Tau = pretty, but ran out of cash. $40 bux for ONE battlesuit isn't worth it.

I would just make little paper versions of the figurines... Colored with crayons...

Dante 12-26-2003 01:31 AM

Well, that works too... for friendly matches (Good luck trying to enter tournaments with them...)

Mikorlias Zard 12-26-2003 07:30 AM

I play a bit of Warhammer, as in Warhammer, as in -not- 40k. The original and (of course) the best.

I mostly have High Elves, but I have a bit of pretty much everything else.

Dante 12-26-2003 07:30 AM

I assume you use a High Elven Mage Army of DHoom?

Del S 12-26-2003 08:18 AM

nice to see im technically not a Phariah...

IIRC in the UK Tau XV8 Crisis Suits are only £10/$20. XV15 Broadsides are £15/$30...
Its possibel to build up an army slowly. or buy a box of eldar and a farseer for $40 and call that you army (cos its legal)

BTW Who else thinks an Eldar in a fantasy settign would be comical, not only for the sheer amounts of destruction he could sow, but for the "I'M NOT AN ELF!" factor.
Or the 'im not a Vulcan' factor.
