bio: Let's see if it is detailed enough to merit extra points.
Oniko was born to a family decended from snake charmers who followed the Dipsa religion. But, due to the condition of her birth, she was put in the care of techno-monks at a young age. And she was happy for a few years, thoguh made the techno-monks uneasy by engaging in strange habits, such as lifting files with her mind to file her teeth to points, soemthing common amoung the Dipsas. It didn't helped that she seemed to be sick often and cost the orphange too much money. At a young age, she could use a bevy of magic powers, but was too inept to use them to their full extent. The techno-monks tried to ease her off of magic and encourage her to use techno-arms and techno-legs. Oniko denied this because she rationalized that it would be cheeper to continue using magic. This magic made the techno-monks unhappy and they decided to cheepen her adoption price in hopes that someone would take her of their hands. Someone did. He seemed alright at first, but he seemed a bit uneven in the head, as he had tendencys to ramble to himself. None the less, Pende treated her kindly enough, even if he never made too much money, to the lament of Oniko, who quite liked money. But, Pende had nice presents for her, like a green turban from a far off land, that Pende got as a reward for one of his miricles. But, all was well.

Until one fateful day.

One day at home, Pende tried something strange, and in her state of panic, fear, and anger, Oniko blacked out. She woke up the next day, dazed and unabvle to remember the past events. When she woke, she found a brutalized Pende missing an arm and beaten within an inch of his life. He was covered in bite marks of varying sizes and seemed to lose his hearing for a few days. Pende refused to tell her what happened or why it did. But, he promised it would never happen again, as he claimed the experiance was an eye-opener. The New God, when it was built, according to Pende, would be able to see into the past, so it would be best to remember one's mission in life and focus on doing good deeds. To both over-compensate and prevent a repetition of the previous episode, Pende wound up spoiling his adopted daughter, buying her presents, and giving her the things she wanted out of fear. Ever since the incident, Oniko found that her powers were even stronger than before and even awoken a few new ones. She quite enjoyed exploring her mind, seeing what it could do. In doing this self training, she discovered a variety of spells. She also found that she could strech herslef out and slither like a snake. This earned her substancially more popularity amoung the Dipsai groups, who treated her as someone gifted. this made her slef esteem a bit too high however as see quite enjoyed being respected and having power. But, she stilled stayed with her father due to her ailing health. When Ide came and explained what happened to her father, and came to understand that Are Asi was an angel sent to fix her problems. She was quite over joyed that she would be able to return to health. Until she was attached to Ide's back and had to stay there for at least an hour to stay in good health. Oniko didn't particulate enjoy being a big leech, but eventully came to get used to it, and even enjoy it, as she was far too important (in her eyes) to not be carried to her destinations.

religion: Dipsa, a non-technological cult. Followers are refered to as Dipsai. It's symbol is the snake. It belives in no god, though they do belive in the supernatural, and even consider the idea of dieties detrimental to society, perfering the idea of humans depending on themselves, much to the displesure of the Brotherhood of Steel. They're are a loosely organized religion primaraly focused on goals such becoming immortal, attaining power, and collecting wealth. They belive that to acomplish these goals, magic is needed, rather than technology.

Yeah, finished finals, but then I was out of town. I'm working on the initial "story arc" and should post it once I do a last check over on everyones characters. Expect by probably mid week.

edit: Okay, the mid week idea is pretty well shot, due to some unanticipated drains on my time, so the new "Absolute latest no more stalling or I shall be forced to commit seppuku" deadline is monday.

Um.. I know this is a bit late, since I said I would make my character last week. But can I make it this weekend or early next week? Im serious when I say I have had a hell of a time now, LOTS of school work. I actualy have two left that I have to do over the weekend but if im lucky I can find some time to make my character. And even if you start without me it would not be strange if I came in a bit later, a ninja should keep his distance and observ before approaching after all ^^

Try reading the post above yours, Omnishadow (you were probably in a rush or soemthing.) I'd try to finish it this weekend, but I think Myst would be forgiving enough to let you join in late.

Edit: Finished with Ide Yotashi and Oniko! I hope their bios are good enough to merit bonus points. I might add more to Oniko's bio, but other than that, I think it is done. By the way, since taking a specialty in Dynamic Magic halves the points needed to raise it's rank, I took energyless magic, and took a specialization to cut it's cost.

I'm in a similar boat with Omnishadow here. My family has decided to go on vacation soon, so I'll be gone all of the week after next. However, as Omni did say, it is certainly not unexpected to have characters join after the initial starting point.

I'm not gonna try making excuses about it, but I was unable to be on the internet for a good portion of the last few weeks, I'll post the intro tonight, along with a PM for more info for each persons character over the next 24 hours. This RP will happen, if I have to copy my brainwaves into a computer, risking it hunting me down and destroying it.
As for the late character entries, of course I'll accomodate with that, as it is mostly my fault. This is anime based, characters join, leave, and get turned into the opposite sex all the time.

I decided I might as well go for a lower-technology character, and take up the slack on our spellcasting power. Rachel here is my new sorceress build.
