I seriously feel like Black Mage now... :bmage: I'm talking to tis girl and can't come up with a SINGLE conversation... HELP! WHAT IS SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT?! I really like her!!! **Twitch** :bmage: :wmage:

im in the same predicament you are except the girl is a VERY good friend of mine and i would like us to be more but cant :( . anyways if you need something to talk about then ask her about her family or tell her about some wild adventures youve had when you were a kid or the ever popular topic of music/movies. try to stay away from video games unless shes into that kind of stuff. you might also want to try asking her for her aim if she has one and you dont already have hers if you ever do have a successful conversation with her.

First calm thyself, secondly, Ask her what she thinks of something that you like alot. For instance, if you like sharp and pointy knifes, show her one and calmly ask her what she thinks of it. Try not to bring up anything too out there, and stare directly into her eyes. Don't look down, as they notice when you do that.

Yea, we've been friends, aand decided to move up... Got her AIM already.. Pretty much done everything you said man... She's into Diablo and stuff...

really knives? thats a bit out there already dont you think? id think that would only scare a girl away unless you had a decent collection of knives since if she did anything you didnt like you might turn into a mass murdering psycho....and in my case my friend would take the knives and use them for her own means..

howabout something a BIT more closer to home like sports or brand name clothes.

have you asked her out yet?(ask her to be your girlfriend?) that is THE first and biggest step. ask about what she likes and if it has something to do with something you have ever done then keep the conversation going with what you remember. though, i would reccomend not talking too much about yourself because i guess girls hate that. try to be sensitive and caring and kind. hug her a lot. if she wants to take the whole relationship slow, then i guess go along with it. but the first things first...

Yeah... I'm sure that was a humorous example, but you might not want to talk about absolutely everything you like. ^^

Talk about things that matter. Politics, society, the nature and causes of love, that sort of thing. If you'd like me to be more specific, I can whip out the list o' societal ills(tm).

another conversation tip. if she asks if you have done/seen/etc. something and you havent then ask her what its like.

im sorry, if that didnt make sense, but i wanted to sound as general as i could because my advice can be used for lots of stuff i guess. lets say she asks if you have a movie or instead just starts talking about that movie. if you havent seen the movie, then you could tell her that. but, to keep the conversation going, ask her about it(these are questions to keep in mind:
-what was it like?
-would you reccomend it?
-what was it about?
-any other things you can think of.

EDIT5/19/05 8:27: in the case of being yourself.. dont say you like something that you dont just because she likes something. for example, if she likes rap, then dont say you like rap even though you dont. if you are usually shy or something and softspoken, then dont act like you are hyper and talkative just to get her attention. also, dont bother smoking to get her attention. she probably wouldnt like 95% chance.

If you're interested in them, why not bring them up? If you don't be yourself or try to act "cool", well, she'll find out sooner or later, won't she? It's a facade that one can't keep up forever.
