I decided to try my hand at fanfiction. Let me know if you enjoy my ideas. My first story about Black Mage with a new love interest.

20 years have passed since the end of Final Fantasy I. This is a story about Black mage and his further adventures.

Black Mage is at a bar drinking his 5th glass of Elfland ale.

Black Mage: "I feel so old, I must be losing my good looks and charm." "Maybe that why White Mage won't give me the time of day"

Fighter comes into the bar and sits down at Black Mage's table across from him.

Fighter: "Man BM, you don't look so good."
Black Mage: "Go away Fighter, leave me alone."
Fighter: "I have some good news that will cheer you up, We're going on a quest."
Black Mage: "WHAT"
Fighter: "See, I knew that'd cheer you up."
Black Mage: "I hate you."

Fighter: "Aw c'mon BM, you don't really mean that."

Black Mage: "Yes, I do."

Fighter lowered his head as if he were about to cry, Black Mage noticed this.

Black Mage: "Ok I'm sorry Fighter, please tell me about this quest."

Fighter looked up and smiled.

Fighter: "We're going to look for the legendary treasure of Captain Tenkin."

Black Mage: "WHAT" "Fighter, Are you out of your mind?" "That's just a legend, a myth. Nobody ever found that old pirate's treasure. It doen't exist."

Fighter: "Yes it does, I can prove it too."

Black Mage: "Oh yeah, how are you going to do that?"

Fighter pulls a scroll out of his pocket and holds it up for Black Mage to see.

Fighter: "I can prove it with this treasure map, this map was found in the attic of my family's ancestril home."

Black Mage could only stare on in wonderment.

In the corner of the bar, a young female elf sitting at another table, was listening to every word Figher and Black Mage said.

Female elf: <The legendary treasure of Captain Tenkin, huh?> <I'll have to follow those two.> <I think father would be pleased.>

Black Mage: "Ok Fighter,lets go on this quest of yours."

Fighter: "Thanks BM, you wont be disapointed."

Black Mage: "I sure hope not, Fighter we need to recruit two other people for this quest."

Fighter: "The best place to find recruitments is in the kingdom of Cornelia."

Black Mage: "Right, lets be on our way then."

Black Mage and Fighter got up from their table and walked out of the bar.

The female elf got up from the table in the corner and walked to the front door.

Female elf: "I'll meet them there."

The female elf walked out the door.

Black Mage and Fighter walked through the streets of Elfheim, aproaching the shipping yards.

Black Mage: "Wait here Fighter, I'll get our tickets."

Fighter: "Please let me get our tickets,BM."

After an hour of arguing with Fighter, Black Mage gave in.

Black Mage: "Ok Fighter, you can get the ship tickets. But don't mess it up."

Fighter: "Thanks, you're a pal."

Black Mage watched Fighter run off in the direction of the ticket office, waited for thirty minutes, and then saw Fighter returning to him.

Fighter: "I've got our tickets,BM."

Black Mage: "Ok,lets go aboard our ship already."

After spending some time searching for their ship, they dicovered that it was a goods-trading ship.

Black Mage: "I knew I should have gotten the tickets myself."

Black Mage and Fighter walked up the plank and into the ship. The female elf climbed out of a nearby empty barrel and stood in front of it, looking at the ship.

Female elf: "All is going according to plan."

She followed Black Mage and Fighter into the ship

Wow, quadruple post. Might want to fix that or something.

The story seems pretty intresting. Did something happon that caused BM to become more friendly to Fighter or is that something that will be revieled later?

I should have written "to be continued" at the end of each post. This story's in the future of 8-bit comics so Black Mage's got a bit more mellow with age. Besides, he tried to kill Fighter about five million times and it never works.

Black Mage and Fighter found their way into the cargo hold.

Black Mage: "Great, now we have to spend this ship voyage in the cargo hold,because you bought tickets for the wrong ship." "How did you get the tickets?"

Fighter: "I bought these tickets from this elf girl standing outside the ticket office, She said that they were special tickets"

Black Mage: <Fighter,you're a fool.> "Fighter, How much did you pay for the tickets?"

When Fighter told him the price, he felt a dark rage.

Black Mage: <I'm so tempted to kill him in his sleep.> "Fighter, she tricked you. She wasn't a real ticket seller."

Fighter: "Yes she was,she was wearing a sign that says *Official Ticket Seller*."

Black Mage slowly pulled his knife out of a pocket in his robe and waited until Fighter turned around, and tried to stab Fighter when he started to walk to the porthole,but missed his target and fell down to the floor.

Black Mage: <Urge to kill rising>

7 hours later, Black Mage and Fighter were asleep. The female elf walks into the cargo hold,walks past Black Mage's sleeping form to a snoring Fighter.

Female elf: <This should be easy>

She carefully crouched down and gently pulled the treasure map out of Fighters's pocket. But luck wasn't with her,for Black Mage woke up and saw her taking the map from Fighter.

Black Mage: "Hey, what are you doing!!"

The female elf jumped at his voice and quickly looked behind her, she saw that Black Mage had gotten up from his sleeping bag and started to aproach her.

Female elf: <Oh no it's Black Mage,he's coming closer.> <I got to get out of here before I get caught>

The female tried to run past Black Mage, but he tripped her and she fell down. The noise of the comotion woke up Fighter.

Fighter: "Can you keep it down BM, I'm trying to sleep."

Black Mage: "Wake up you fool, this elf thief almost got away with stealing our treasure map."

Fighter saw the elf girl sitting on the floor,got up from his sleeping bag, and walked over to Black Mage and the elf girl. Fighter sat down next to the elf girl.

Fighter: "Hey I reconize you, you're that ticket seller I met back in Elfheim."

Black Mage: "WHAT, You sold Fighter those tickets." "Hey elf brat, you're in alot trouble now"

Black Mage pulled his knife out of his robes and raised it in the air about to stab the frightened elf girl,she had seen what about to happen and started to cry. Fighter noticed that she was crying and decided to stop Black Mage from hurting her. He stood up from the floor and knocked the knife from Black Mage's hand.

Fighter: "Stop it, you're scaring her."

Black Mage: "Fighter, I caught her trying to steal the treasure map."

Black Mage picked the map up from the floor and handed it back to Fighter.

Black Mage: "see"

Female elf: "For your information, I wasn't stealing it, I was returning it to you." "Earlier, I noticed it fell out of your pocket, and I decided to do a good deed."

Fighter: "See BM, she's a good girl"

Black Mage rolled his eyes,thinking about how stupid Fighter was.

Figher: "So little lady, would you be so kind as to tell us your name?"

The elf giggled and smiled,thinking that Fighter was very gulible.

Female elf: "Ok, my name is Tirina."

Fighter: "Wow, that's a pretty name." " Tirina, would you join us in our quest?"

Black Mage: "Now wait a minute,Fighter."

Tirina: "I would be honered to join your noble quest"

Black Mage: "Why isn't anyone listening to me?"

Fighter: "Did you hear that,she said yes." "I'm so happy"

Black Mage: <Things are not going well at all.>

Fighter: "Well Tirina,it's getting late so I'm going back to sleep." "You should get to bed too. ok?"

Tirina: "Ok Fighter, good night."

Fighter: *yawns* "Good night Tirina"

Tirina watched as Fighter climbed back into his sleeping bag and fell asleep.

Tirina: <Boy,he's out like a light.>

Tirina got up from the floor and walks past Black Mage to leave the cargo hold,but he grabbed her arm to make her stop.

Black Mage: "Where do you think you're going? brat" "You're still in alot of trouble, and now you'll have to answer to ME."

Tirina: "Let go of me,old man" "Leave me alone."

She broke free from his grip to run up the stairs and out of the cargo hold. Black Mage was angry that she got away from him and picked up his knife from the floor. He decided to find her.

Black Mage: <I'm going to punish that stupid little elf brat when I catch her>

He searched for Tirina and found her at the bow of the ship. But when Black Mage found her,he saw that she was crying. He began to feel bad inside.

Black Mage: <What do I do about this?>

He dropped his knife on the deck,She heard the noise and turned around. He saw tears streaming down her face.

Tirina: "Go away,I want to be alone."

Black Mage: "Tirina,I'm sorry for scaring you before but you made me mad when you tried to steal Fighter's map." "It's the middle of the night. Do you have a place to sleep?"

Tirina: "Actually, no I don't"

Black Mage: "You should come back to the cargo hold,you can share it with the two of us." "But when we reach the Kingdom of Cornelia,you'll be finding your own rooms. Is that understood?"

Tirina: "Yes sir!!"

Black Mage: "Good girl, now go down to the hold and get some sleep"

Tirina: "Black Mage, thank you."

Tirina gave him a gentle hug and left for the cargo hold.Black Mage decided to watch the night sky for a while.

Black Mage: <WOW She hugged me,White Mage never hugged me> <Maybe she's not bad for a elf brat.> <Well, she's sorta pretty too.> <Even though she's young,Tirina has possibilities as a girlfriend.> <I really never had a girlfriend,for a long time I was hoping that White Mage would be my girlfriend.> <I'm going to forget about White Mage and concentrate on Tirina.>

He walked over to the railings.

Black Mage: "WHITE MAGE,MY DAYS OF CHASING YOU ARE OVER,YOU CAN SIT ON A DRAGON EGG." <I love Tirina>

He left the railings and walked down to the cargo hold.
