final fantasy VII movie

So what do all you peeps think out there about the VII movie... i mean its my favorite of the series to be sure and would love to see this and i would also like to see a follow up game. May not happen but would probably be better then the XII follow up. I mean XII isn't bad but its not up to FF previous standards outside XI. :rmage:

Moving to Video Games.

I guess the concept is ok, and it should help to explain the messed up ending to FF7, but they made Cloud look like Tidus' gay lover/twin...

I think a movie was the dumbest way to continue the tale... especially with such a lame-sounding plot..

BMHadoken 12-27-2003 03:01 PM

OOOh, whats the plot? I've only seen pics...

Atronflame 12-27-2003 03:16 PM

Ive seen the teaser trailer... It looks alright, but the foe looks like such a bishie with a katana... I dont know. I loved FF7. So Im bound to see the movie.

If I can find where I got the movie from Ill link to you...

EDIT: Ah, here it is. here. Note that its someone recording it from an expo trailer, so its not like utter quality and the sound isnt that great, but it works. :D

They shouldn't make a subpar game into a movie.

Lost in Time 12-27-2003 05:11 PM

This movie better be good. I don't want another Spirts Within. But this time they have something to start off of and it's from Japan, so it must be good.

Anarchy_Balsac 12-27-2003 07:17 PM

aeris ruined the original ff7 enough, and she'll probably ruin the movie even more. it would be nice if she had never been spoken of when she died. too bad it didn't happen that way

Atronflame 12-27-2003 09:35 PM

Technically she was supposed to be revived but they were running on deadline so they had to leave it out. Damn deadlines!

I loved Aeris so bad when I was younger. XD

But anyone who has played FF7 to the second disk knows and will always remember Aeris' death scene. Its just one of those things that will always be remembered in videogame history. Of RPGs. Of... 1997 forward. Until we die and no-one remembers those games. Yeah.
