Lynx was outside in the hall, going to the kitchen, when he heard a pounding from inside of Jude's room, then yelling. "Idiot is hitting the wrong wall..." Lynx went up to the door and knocked on it, since he felt like pointing out Jude's stupidity.
|
"One...more...person, and I start shoving this spear..." Jude said, trailing off as he looked out the window.
"You deserve it you stupid...uhm...hmm, what the hell are you? Your little phasing trick kinda defies all definition." Jude said staring at Ark's predicament. "Now I bet you want me to save you or something, right?" Ark nodded furiously, shaking the vine. "Whatever..." Jude said, then jumped out of the window, sailing past Ark. He landed on the ground, then jumped again, grabbing Ark and using the momentum to throw him through the window. "Now go away, its getting too crowded." |
"Thank you Jude. I think I might go and check out how defended the walls are right now. Just in case." He opened the door, leaving but simontaneiously letting Lynx in.

"HEY PIKEY!!! Good seeing you old friend."
"Gin! Been causing trouble as usual." The two clinked their pint glasses together. "Heard you got a price on your head." Pikey said to Gin "gonna try and collect?" Gin rested his left hand on the hilt of his wakizashi. "Remember that time on Stirling birdge. When that gaurd knocked that spear/thing of yours out of your hands. He didn't relize that the spear is meant to give your opponents a sporting chance. When you draw those blades of yours you become a force of nature. I feel like keeping my head for a few days more if you don't mind." "Good ole Pikey. All ways thinking of your comfort level. So what's been going on?" |
Cesia was busy pacing up and down her room. She didn't want anyone to see how worried she was. Finally she sat down on the edge of her bed with an exasperated sigh, <What a disgrace. My father would never have worried like this. He would just deal with it, whatever it was...> She lied back on the bed, staring at the pattern on the ceiling, "I'll have to be stronger."
The group had about an hour before the meeting would start. She may have been just a princess, but she knew the potential of the army that Cid was going to be attacking with. If he was going to use the full potential of that army, this country is as good as dead... and what was to become of the group? How would they escape. They had good luck, if that is what you could call it, by surviving what they had survived so far... but how long until their luck ran out? Cesia rolled over and buried her head on her pillow, "This is too much for somebody to deal with in one lifetime." She sighed, <Well, whatever happens, I have to see this through to the end. There's no way I'm going to let Cid get away with what he has done.> |
Ark had gone into his room and found that they'd been given closets full of clothes. So he was now in a red tunic with some light grey pants.
He walked along the wall, seeing how little guard they had, and cursed silently. He'd lived his child hood in this city. His dad had been a fairly high monk. He'd left it a long time ago, and now he was back again. He smirked slightly. The odds of anyone recgonizing me are very low luckily enough. He took one last look at the poorly defended wall, and turned to head back to his room. |
Lynx decided to go to the kitchen instead of wha the previously planned, and had gotten some food and water. Now he was making his way back to his room.

Vace had been trying to sleep in his room, but he was on the other side of Jude, and with everyone interrupting and Jude shouting at everyone, Vace had left and instead started wandering the halls. He simply wandered around, admiring the castle, and thinking about all that had happened, and what was going to happen. <I always hoped that in my own way, I could prevent troubles this bad from returning to the land, but I guess one man just isn't enough. It looks like Vace will be returning to war, after the land being at peace for so long.> He thought, and lost in thought he suddenly realized he had ended up near the imperial armory. Inside newly alerted blacksmiths and armorers had been warned about what was to come, and were hard at work crafting new weapons and armor of war for the battle to come. Vace thought of his father's sword and pulled it out. The great sword was old, with bits of rust on it and chips and scratches all along the edge of the sword, each one a foe that wouldn't hurt anyone else, or a block that had saved Vace's life. But it was time he realized, and walked into the forge to get his weapon repaired and ready for the battle ahead.
|
Ark wandered into the armoury as well and ran into Vace. He went and looked through the armours and asked Vace, "I give Cid's army anywhere from 5 hours to a day to get here. What's your take?"
|
"Well Gin I've come to get away from Aeth'ria and soon I'll be mosieing on out of Alba. I advise you too get out of here. The Hessians armies are marching, and you know how old flamer fights. He's coming like a sledge hammer on an anvil and this glass nation is going to shatter under his might. I hear he expedited the attack after an assassination attempt on him. He was giving a speach and an Assassin tried to kill him with a cross bow from the crowd. They said the assassin was burned at the stake before the hour was over. Well the standing army is moving out to strike here while the new recruits are trained. Thunderleg estimates the Aetherian army will triple in size when that's done. And you know him ever the conservative"
"Thanks for the info Pikey." |
