Then they would have to acknowledge the blacksmith shouting (Which should come up soon).

When people shout, especially glowing people who are near you, you would at least notice them. Then you can ignore them. Especially when it is another PC doing the noticable action.

There's been a lot of pages. You know what would happen in the older RPs at around this point?

Bandits. Lots of nameless bandits with no background, so that we may slaughter them like the cattle they are.

If I bring up some (major) problem in the RP, it's purpose at this point would be to force the PCs to get together.

While generic bandits are traditional, they wouldn't accomplish that very well.

Dante 06-17-2005 11:52 PM

Generic bandits are interactive scenery, you can chop them up to demonstrate your badassocity and they form a good reason to stick together. "Hey, I might get attacked while sleeping, hope you keep an eye out for me!"

IHateMakingNames 06-18-2005 12:01 AM

But, the bandits would be slaughtered. You don't worry about things you brush off. Espcially if we want to get all of the PCs together.

Now, if the PCs got attacked by something that almost kills them, but is driven off, then they would actually consider travelling together.

And it wouldn't be that interactive. Sure, there would be a "Hey, good hit there!" every now and then, but nothing actually interactive, where the PCs actually have to work together.

So, basically, if I have some generic attack happen, it will be stronger then generic bandits.

Edit - Note to anyone else that would want to participate in the guessing game (Like Pyros did), just because Samoht 'indentified' it doesn't mean he is right.

DaBiggman, I already said what the ring was.

It's not nice to contradict someone when they say something, especially when the GM says that it's first come/first serve.

IHateMakingNames 06-18-2005 12:50 AM

If something happens, it's going to be at night.

1) It appears that all of the PCs intend to stay in this town for at least one more day, and since there is only one inn, they will all be there at night (Probably).

2) No one attacks in the evening. You wait until night.

Raiden 06-18-2005 01:14 AM

Hmmm....

I didn't see that EDIT in there.

So, I apologize.
