Make your own Anime
 

Ok we have all read some sweet books in our lifetimes have we not? Well which one of those characters would you make into an anime, or which book or triligy or series. I wanna hear what books or characters you would like to turn into an anime....OR...if you ahev made up your own characters what kind of anime would you turn them into.

Like me I would turn Drizzt Do 'Urden into an Anime, He is a cool dark elf who can waste against anyone and anything.

I'd like to see a Lord of the Rings anime (Not mentioning the fact that pracitcally all RPG-animes a based off of it.). :fighter:

Sorry, but it's so ironic... I'm constantly thinking of that sort of thing, ya know?

Heh. Anyway, the current idea that passed through my head whizzing like a jet is the following: There are five mythical jewels called the Five Stars with magical powers, which, when put on a magical medallion, can grant wishes. There are thousands of Fake Stars that have various powers, as well. Five Shadow Stars are hunting the True Stars.

I'll talk more about it if you guys want to.

I always thought the Wheel of Time books would make a pretty badass anime series.

I think the Star Wars: X-Wing series of books would make for a great TV show, whether or not it's animated. It would be far easier on a budget to make it into a cartoon though, and as the Clone Wars miniseries has shown, Star Wars translates relatively well to an animated medium. Also, much later in the Extended Universe, the Yuuzhan Vong invasion would make for a great series.

The current world is sort of a mix between magical and technological. Magic is one of the main energies, and pretty much everyone living has some sort of magical ability. They are divided into five types: Warlocks, wielders of the Dark Arts; Berserkers, the entranced destroyers; Monks, raised to help others; Foci, the ones who can channel energies unto others; and Sorcerers, who channel the power of their Stars in order to cast more powerful magics.

While magic is one of the most powerful abilities in this world, it's not the only one. Far more stronger than the natural magic are the Stars, magical jewels that channel the power of one of the five elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Energy.

The Five Stars are the embodiment of those elements; they are very powerful, have a near-endless amount of energy, and can do such powerful things that, by comparison, make a Dragon Slave/Giga Slave spell go shy and run away.

But there are also the Fake Stars. These have minor powers, when compared with the Five Stars; yet, they have one advantage the Five don't. While the Five MUST use the powers of the elements, the Fake don't. Things like Time Travel, Super Speed, Morphing, and others are only possible with Fake Stars.

Then we have the Shadow Stars. They are counterparts to the Five Stars, created by the darkness, and hunt the Five Stars and their wielders mercilessly. They are trying to increase their power so that they can take over the world. They're capable of having mortal forms and can do pretty much what the Five Stars can, only tainted.

The Stars also have Guardians that can help the wielders.

I would like to see the Indigo series written by Louise Cooper either made into a Live Action series, or an Anime series. And, not jokingly, I'd also like to see the book series I'm writing turned into a manga/anime series as well someday.

I won't give up on that goal no matter what. o_o

I doubt Drizzt would work well in an anime. His struggles are far more internal than most anime characters. You'd be shocked how little of R.A. Salvatore's writing is actual spoken words. R.A. Salvatore expresses the characters and their beliefs through inner monologue, not their actions. There's no real way I could see of doing this that wouldn't lose the drama of the moral battles he has. That, and it would satisfy the fanboy crowds, which I simply won't allow. Ever. If they were to stop bickering and have a cause to unite around, such as a good movie, they could be a dangerous and chaotic force indeed.

If I were to write an anime, I would definitely start with the meanings or underlying questions of the series. That would allow me to create the world around that, rather than having to work around the world.
