Don't double-post. Edit your first one.

Also, no one word posts.

Keep this in mind.

I am no mod or admin, but I still can warn you:Follow the rules.

o sorry just asking but anyone know of anywhere that sells them for the cheap??

Patrat 06-25-2005 03:15 PM

And not to mention that this might belong in the Video games.
Ebay, or Ubid MIGHT have a psp somewhere for a few bucks less, but you'll probably have to wait until demand goes down, and by that time they'll be planning to realese the next generation of portable gaming.
And besides, Psp are ridicuylusly expensive, and so are the games.
P.s. you still haven't edited your post, even though you replied an apologie...
This was a very biased post by Patrat

Indeed, the PSP is like $250 right now. And you're probably not going to find any price below $225, unless it's used or something. If you can wait 6 months, do so. The price will shoot down to probably like $200, at the very highest. Then you can buy an extra game with that $50.

This has been an unbiased post from Link1209.

then again, PSP is made by Playstation. is it really worth it? Maybe going with a DS would be smarter, and more checkbook friendly.

Nikose: To answer your question, YES. It IS DEFINATELY worth it.

I have one. When they say that the graphics were near-PS2 quality, they weren't BSing. It's rather hard for me to tell the difference.

The sound quality (at least from the headphones, coming from the system itself is iffy for music) is excellent. And if you have a 512 MB mem stick duo (like I do) you can hold almost 8 hours of music. Which comes in handy during an 8 hour work day.

Speaking of which, I've used my PSP for music on work days (all day) on multiple occassions, and I've only ever gotten my battery down to 34%. Battery issues? Sure. Whatever.

Haven't tried movies yet. Planning to get Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Gone in 60 Seconds though. I'll probably get National Treasure sometime soon too.

EDIT: Oh, and can't argue about the checkbook friendly thing. I've already spent over $500 on my PSP, and only have 4 games.

Not to mention if you're smart and don't upgrade the firmware beyond 1.50, there's a whole mess of homebrew software that can be run on the PSP, which I recently discovered over the weekend. I'd say it's completely worth the purchase.

Not to mention that the PSP just doesn't have enough out for it, yet. Not enough to make it worth its price tag right now, at least. What games I do like for it are a lot of fun, especially Lumines, but they aren't worth it at the moment.

CatManDo 06-27-2005 02:06 PM

Yea all the good games on PSP dont come on UMDs they are Dled and played, i got like 200 NES roms and around 50snes roms and it is sweet.
