New RPG Ideas?
 

So, anyone have some good RPG ideas?

Good, as in well thought out and something that will last more than a few days.

Ahh..you see, that last more than a few days part is tough, no matter how good of an idea it is.

Even a bad idea can turn into a good RP if you have a good group of RPers. They will often decide the fate of an RP more than the original concept.

True, but it still takes a good concept to attract those good RPers. What really attracts the good RPers (thus allowing the RP to last) is a concept that challenges those involved to do something they haven't done before, but is still enjoyable.

For example, imagine there is a confederacy of islands. The RP takes place on one of those islands. The city has developed into a fishing town stuck behind a wall to fend off the savage beasts that would prey upon the populace. The ultimate form of punishment is exile into the forest/jungle/swamp/whatever.

However, when exiles begin surviving and, after a sexist period in the city, reproducing, tribes begin developing with the idea of revenge. They discover magic can be done without hours of meditation and spellbooks, and begin preparing for war.

What makes this RP interesting can't be properly conveyed in that description, but is implied: There are no good guys. The city is a world of repression and militarism, and the exile tribes live in a brutal world of kill or be killed. There is no good or bad. It is law against chaos.

Well I always thought bringing back my Dark West rp would be good, it lasted for a bit, but well me being banned killed it.

I must admit I've had a few ideas of my own recently, but I haven't felt like starting any of 'em. They included a gritty modern landscape and gangs, and another involved a Wolf's Rain-like idea without the morphing, for lack of a better way of putting it.

I didn't start 'em mostly 'cause they were just something I could do to feed my brain for a bit.

I will join any RP with sex with it.

Ive always wanted to get a secound game going in a post apoctiliptic future, like in fall out, but with more gangs and waste...

I tried to get an RP going with what I thought was a good idea but nobody posted anything in the interest thread. tear

ive wanted to transfer a few of the role plays i do with my friends onto the forum two of them worked alright when transferd, Chicago is hell, and Dark West, but then Age of Dwarfs got one person interested, and it was one of the best i had when i did it live.
