"Not the most dignified looking place, this pub." The sandy haired man said as he walked towards the building. "Oh well. As long as I can get a good meal here, I'm fine."
The door opened as the man walked into the pub. He was fairly tall, with short, sandy brown hair and a beard the same color. He wore a green cape and a pair of brown pants, and carried a sword in a sheath by his side. After looking around the establishment with his hawkish brown eyes, he went over to the counter to make his order. "Barkeep," the man told the elf, "I'd like whatever meal is on the house for today; I'm too hungry to be choosy. Also, I can see that you are a musician. If you play Here Comes the Sun, I'll give you some extra gold." |
"Um I can handle the music part, but I'm not the barkeep. You want that guy." He pointed as the Bartender behind the bar. A corpulent human with handle bar mustache and a green and silver tunic.
|
"Hmm... my mistake. I appologize." The man handed the elf a few gold coins and walked over to the counter, trying to hide his embarrasment.

"Here comes the sun

The Elf in the corner accepted the serving girl's slap with smile. He rubbed his cheek slightly then said, "Now I'm more awake!" He nodded in the direction of Kel, as if thanking him for sending the girl back.
He leaned back in his chair, propping his feet on the table as he chair leaned against the wall. He closed his eyes and listened to the musician play, before turning his well-tuned ears to the conversations going on near the bar. One learned useful things like that in the course of work like his, where hearing certain things could mean big money or save his skin. The Elf stifled a laugh as the big ogre sang, but he wasn't about to say anything to someone that could crush him flat with ease. Instead, he tried to look interested in his tea, finally looking up when Satsu returned. "Play Kashmir next," he finally said to the musician after listening some more. He rubbed the back of his neck innocently, his hand touching the hilt of one of the many throwing knives he had hidden. "Things are starting to pick up now," he thought to himself, as the ogre argued with one of those at the bar. |
The man clapped at the end of the song. "You're a very good musician, Satsu... that's your name, isn't it? Hearing that song brightens my day." After that, he began to eat his meal as he secretly watched the others. The Elf and Ogre seemed like good enough people, if a bit rowdy. The water sipper was a surly sort, although he didn't seem to be a bad man, and the Mage looked like a friendly sort if you didn't try to bug him. As for the elf in the corner... the man didn't trust him. Maybe it was his isolationism, or maybe it was because of a small bulge in his clothing where a weapon could easily be hidden. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep an eye on my secretive friend, he thought as he took a bite of his dinner and listened to Satsu play his next song.

"For the love of god sipper... You have to ease up. You know an ogre doesn't have much of a throat. Or a voice for that matter..." He looked in on the new customer eating a meal at the bar, just as he took a sight of Mage. "What's you're business here? Are you actually good for conversation?"
|
"Yeah, I'm always up for a good conversation." He told the mage. "Why don't you tell me a little about yourself. What brings you to this pub?"
|
Mage just shrugged, "Nothing much. I just came here looking for a drink and some good times. Barkeep..." He raised his hand, but paused. "Please... for the love of everything good and holy, you DO drink alcohol... right?"
|
"I don't drink alcohol much. I usually save it for special occasions. This is a dangerous world, and I don't want to be caught unawares at any time. But..." He mused. "I suppose I could call this a special occasion. I'm in a pub, after all."
