#571 "...I am well versed in the manifold weaknesses of things such as yourselves"
Oh, that tricksy Red Mage.
You may note that the lighting effects have disappeared since Bahamut appeared. The giant one was too big and visually complicated to really "work" with the light. Especially with the large patch of darkness in between the two shafts of light coming from the different holes as previously established. I figure, hey, Bahamut's a cool multi-dimensioned guy, he probably gives off his own light. I shrunk him down in today's comic because there's no need to be impressed by his appearance any more. We know he's powerful, old, a king, and a god of dragons. He can afford to "downgrade" his majestic appearance. And good thing too, as the large Bahamut takes up so much damn space. |
I know the general feeling.
I liked the "super guy" bit. God, king, godking, who cares? It's "super guy" now. No arguments between them. Just out of curiousity, who is this "Ravnos" guy? Or, who are these "Ravnos?" |
It's a clan of vampires from White Wolf's Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop RPG. In this game Vampires can select from a variety of supernatural powers that were coined with an open Thesaurus nearby. Each clan has a specialty. The Ravnos's specialty is Chicanery, which is essentially the ability to create ever more complex and convincing illusions. At high enough levels the illusions become real.
"Chicanery" is a real word, of course, relating to tricks/lies, subterfuge. Since Red Mage is trying to trick Bahamut, he's indulging in some chicanery, and since he's an RPG nerd, I went that extra mile and made sure that everyone knows I'm a huge goddamn dork who used to play Vampire: The Masquerade. |
Heheh. Ah, Fighter. So clueless. The new Bahamut is great. Much less distracting.

"Super, guy." I think Brian forgot the comma. |
My post is delayed because I took the time to read the news post. Classic Clevinger for you. I too have shared a similar experiance but talking about whould only be a waste of time as your tale clearly dwarfs my own.

Aiiiiiiiieeeeeeeee!!! Chibi-Bahamut! ^.^ He's so kyuuute!
One thing on the DMV post which, by the way, is one of the funniest things I've ever read. NJ's DMV departments are operated privately, not by the state. Which means our "dregs" are significantly nicer than out-of-state "dregs" because if they are shitbags to us, we can just as easily up and go to the next county and get our license there. |
that new Bahamut is much less distracting. I wonder when thief is gonna come back. Ohhhh, i can so see the "true light warriors" coming and then getting flare-ed by Bahamut
|
Wait. Does that mean there is a REAL enlightened warrior somewhere? Anyway, I'm sure Thief ain't showing up until the LW start moving away from Bahamut.

D&D Dragons can Polymorph-Self into smaller creatures so people don't get scared and run into pits with sharp pointy things.
