Well, that's a relief.

So are couch potatoes, they only get unhealthy by years of chips and beer ingestion without getting any movement, much as a regular potato gets unhealthy when you soak it in hot fat. It's actually not a bad analogy.

o.0;; Uh... I don't like potatoes because I hate the taste of potatoes. Not because it's joined with the phrase 'Couch Potato". And is that phrase really hurting the farmers? I think it's just because potatoes suck.

Also, the picture of the potato on the couch don't look to right in my eyes.

Also, why couch slouch? Isn't slouch enough? And what about the Association of Furniture Craftsmen, aren't they gonna be offended by the new term?

So... it's the Oxford English Dictionary's fault that "Couch Potato" is used by people today? I did not know that... I always thought it was the other way around...

I have to agree. This is flat-out ridiculous. A bunch of protesters aren't going to change the dictionary; that's not how it works. And besides, people aren't suddenly going to stop saying "couch potato" just because it isn't in the dictionary anymore.

I'm officially dedicated to saying 'couch potato' as often as possible. There's more pressing issues they should be worrying about as farmers.
