MORPH RP interest thread (If you liked SUITS, the look here) *real thread*
Sorry, looked like I posted accidentally in the RP forum... this is the real one.
OK, Raiden, I admit I got a little impatient and started the interest thread today ^_^" ~~~ I thought it was a waste to dispose of a good idea that Raiden had put up, so he and I are coming back with a different version of SUITS. If enough people are interested, I'll elaborate on the modified version's ideas and what will be dropped and what will replace it. The rp will probably only go for 2 missions, depending on how popular it is, and me and Raiden will be co-DMing it (since he is fair and all-knowing ^_~) More information will be supplied once enough people have voiced their interest - including what stays and what goes - and we'll both be open to ideas and improvements. |
Despite having dropped out of the SUITS roleplay I shall express interest here. It was just to freeform last time in my opinion.
|
I'll express some interest in this as well. Lets hope this one takes off.
|
Would happen to be very interesting'd in.
Is knowing that He was dropping out of Suits - but that is becausing He was absent for days of a number and unable therefore to post - When returning he is finding page 7. |
I'm interested and there shouldn't be anything keeping me down from signing up.
|
Judging by the name I'm guessing its similiar to the SUITS RP in that it involves some manner of power armour that also modifies the wearer's biology while in use?
And yes, I'm interested. |
I've gotten interested in Warmachine, which is essentially steam-powered power armor.
I'm in. |
I'll give this a shot.
|
Yar...I mean, yes, I'm interested.

Blindmime: how was it too freeform? was it because whatever happened happened because you wanted it to? We can Remedy that :)
Since people have made me happy by expressing interest, I'll elaborate on the minute changes. Mind you, most of it is VERY similar to the SUITS rp. The RP will last for 2 missions. Each one will most likely be a thread long or so, and depending on whether the rp is going hotly, we might throw up a 3rd mission or a 4th. MORPH-SUITS changes: Instead of being called SUITS, they're called Masters Of Relativistic Physique enHancers, or MORPHs (because I suck, so deal with it!) The same age and period applies in this rp, meaning that there are quite some advancements in weaponry and such. Modified Plasmus is used, but uncommon and still in the Beta Stages. Instead, the technology has advanced along the lines of the power of the human mind. Basically - mix weak psychic stuff with machines and BOOM. Psychotechnology (where everything is a mind's thought away! well... not really... not yet, to be exact) MORPHs are actually operated from afar by MORPHers through a special 'Mindlink', which means that you don't need to make room in your MORPH for a human, which in turn means more gadgets can be stuffed in. Like SUITS, they are completely customizable, are basically indestructible unless met on with another MORPH, and possess a personality modelled after the Operator. Again, nobody knows why the hell the machines do that. Major weapon changes: No long-range, unless you're imaginative and can get around our vetoing. MORPHs are designed so that they can withstand firepower short of a nuclear blast. Close-range melee is used instead with a special super metal called 'Imprintium'. It has the same properties as the Plasmus weapons in the SUITS rp, except that it's more solid and doesn't glow, and is basically completely metal. Instead of programming, it's 'imprinted' with an image of what it needs to become, and with a trigger from a thought sequence, shapes itself into that form. Yes, Techies are involved as well. Simulation Cells (SC) are used to control the MORPHs, normally from a very long distance away. Normal movement is required to move the MORPH, but everything else - sensors, extra limbs movement, Imprintium activation and other functions that don't require normal limb movement - is fed directly into the brain through the Mindlink. Mindlink also connects one operator to other operators on their team (will be elaborated further on request), which allows easy communication just by 'thinking' of the sentence and whatnot. Verbal communication can also be used, but it's easier just to think at the other person. MORPHs effect the operators in a different way - MORPHers are more psychically 'adapted' to allow for multi-tasking/monitoring of the mind. Though physical changes are minute to none, reactions and physical efficiency are also enhanced to a degree (hormones, muscle growth, flexibility etc etc. Nothing major like limb-changes or that kind.) Characters CAN possess VERY weak psychic abilities like premonition (eg: you feel something may go wrong, but don't know what will, and at what time, and where. Just a feelnig of wrongness), telepathy (cannot read people's minds unless the person allows them to, and even then, can only brush the surface of minds, or only when the person is 'mentally shouting') or telekinesis (power to move only a pencil a few inches.) (on request, this part will be explained in detail as to why it is relevant to the rp and control of the MORPH) Alrightey... I think that about sums most of the changes up... I might've missed something though... |
