Unlike his demonic counter parts, Yaburu was not unnaturally tough. Strong and resilient for a human, certainly, but he had been at the center of that explosion and he had no demonic resistance to damage in order to absorb it, the fight with Drak besides. As a result when he stood from his impact zone, a few feet from Koyuki and Raikotsu, he was bruised and battered. Yet he still carried himself with the stoic calm he had kept during the entirity of the trip so far.

When he spoke, however, there was a dangerous undertone, enough that any intelligent creature, even demons of Raikotsu or Koyuki's caliber, would give pause to, especially considering the devastation he had just wreaked upon the world around them.

"I do not care what Koyuki wishes to speak with you about, but Kurama escaped this day because of you. You held her back and caused in fighting amongst your own forces for your petty and insignificant vengence. If you do it again, I will purify you from this plane, with the general's help, if necessary."

Pyros turned to Sanjuro. "Yes. It was most...interesting." Pyros was quite happy the squirrel survived. Often in conflicts such as these, the little creatures suffer yet are looked over. "Say, how did it go with your proposal?"

OOC: Well, it's very fortunate that Kirakiri has a perfect reason for why he was not present for the fight. If you want to know what act of bastardry he's commited, you'll have to read on.

Kirakiri has been involved in his own private mission as the battle had progressed. The defensive wepaons had been neutralised by the firestorm and Kirakiri had taken up the chance of infiltration offered. The battle had been far more disorganised than he had hoped but they couldn't have predicted that Kurama would pick up companions so fast. As the airship lifts into the sky he slithers out of his vantage point and deeper into the hull of the airship. Still, he had managed to observe the warriors in battle and could already see ways to turn them to his advantage. That Sanjuro in particular.

He is frustrated by his own allies and their lack of unision. The chances of success would have been far greater if they had not abandoned positions and thrown themselves into the fray. Some of them had even attacked each other for the 'honour' of attacking Kurama. He would have to take steps to rectify this.

Slipping over a piece of machinery he sees the serpentine shape of his second self ahead. He had kept one set of eyes on the battle while the other set had investigated the mechanisms of the boat. Kirakiri has an exceptional breadth of knowledge from the necessity of needing to be able to impersonate almost any role and his basic knowledge of machinery has allowed him to gain a rough idea of how the boat works.

Closing his eyes he steps forwards and the two flow back into being one again. His shape is still very close to his split halves: a supremely flexible, elongated snake-like body with long, almost spindly arms and legs. This is well adapted to stealthily clambering around in the jumble of machinery that makes up the boat's innards. After consideration, he has decided how to best interpret his orders.

He had toyed with the possibility of remaining hidden for longer to try to learn more about his enemies weaknesses but discarded that as too much risk for too little gain. The possibility of disabling Takin and taking his place had been similarly discarded. Although there had been several opportunities to do so as the human had rushed around to make the vessel ready for flight, Kirakiri does not have a sufficient knowledge of him to pass off a charade very well. Instead he will simply destroy this vessel in mid-flight while it's occupants are still wearied by the battle.

He reaches the place he had in mind and, with surprising strength, wrenches a large pipe out of its mooring. Steam gushes out and the airship lists. Ignoring the hot steam rushing over him, Kirakiri almost smiles. This will distract the mechanic as it is extremely dangerous unless left unmonitored and will seem like it was weakened by the battle. Kirakiri scuttles away, causing more instabilities with a fine eye for what will not look like sabotage. The intended end of his zig-zagging path is the Raigaki cannon.

As Takin was about to eat from a bowl of rice, a red light went off.

"Son of a... I thought I had done all the repairs!"

Takin scuttled off with his tools, huffing and puffing.

Sanjuro shrugged, "I think it went quite well, after all," Sanjuro held up his left hand showing the triangle scab across his hand, "Look she gave me her mark. I'm not sure how demon relationships work but I guess thats good." He began to stare at his own palm for a moment as he tried to reason out why the man would take the womans mark, the squirrel leapt to his hand and began to investigate the wound. "Hey, Katsushiro down. Down Katsushiro." He sighed, "I'm having a difficult time Katsushiro his name." The squirrels tail fell and raised a few times before he leapt back to Sanjuro's shoulder.

Takin passed by The Reaper, who entered the dining hall cradling the small body of Artemis in its hands. Laying the small demon on the table and gently brushing some of the soot away the robot looked over its creator. After stepping back a gentle aura began to surround the mecha, concentrating in the area over the cockpit area. In a dazzling light show the tentacle and spindly legged brain crept out and hopped on the table before plunging into Artemis, who jolted up after the light faded away.
Jumping to his feet and shaking away the excess soot Artemis surveyed his body and looked over the robot. He then walked over the table to Sanjuro's spot, kicking away the food bowl.
"Just. How. Moronic. ARE YOU, YOU STUPID LITTLE HUMAN, YES I AM TAKING YOUR YELLING BIT ALTHOUGH I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW YOU KEEP IT UP!" After his outburst Artemis coughed and took a sip of water. His next tirade was done in a quieter, more reserved tone. "The Reaper requires heavy repairs due to the amount of wind strikes it took protecting you. And why exactly? So you could pronounce your love for a dog demoness who also happens to be a general in Talkatz army, who, if you don't recall, is our sworn enemy, DON'T. INTERRUPT. ME!" Artemis quickly rolled a cigarette and drew half of it in on one draw. "Now, I could understand falling for a succubus, or the priestess, but a dog demon? That's wrong in about 20 different ways and I can't even pronounce ten of them." Exhale. "So all I want to know is this: Can we expect another outburst like that again?" He leaned his three foot stature in close. "Pal?"

PyrosNine 07-23-2005 12:59 AM

Pyros was scared at his newfound friends roughness with his second newfround friend, but felt something was wrong. He made a quick walk throughout the ship, munching on a riceball, and found himself in a room with a large device that seemed full of energy. Similar to the energy that flowed within himself. But this was not what he had sensed. He wondered what it was for?

Unbeknownst to himself, someone was creeping in the shadows above him.

TheBlindMime 07-23-2005 12:59 AM

"Yes, yes you may." Sanjuro calmly said holding his left hand out complete with triangular wound, "See, she loves me back. And I'll make as many outbursts as is necessary to bring her into my arms. Now quiet down Katsushiro doesn't appreciate you being so loud, isn't that right Katsushiro?" Looking to his shoulder Sanjuro realizes Katsushiro has gone missing, "Oh no, Katsushiro come here boy. Come here." Sanjuro storms out of the room repeating his panicked calls as those who watch him leave can clearly make out a shivering squirrel silhoutte under his clothes on his back. He begins frantically searching deck to deck.

((OOC: Dang...a good 10 pages without me...yeesh...see what happens when you go to work? Sorry, Arhra...I had to work him in somehow. ))

Akimoto groaned as he stood, using the obsidian spear as a support. He was still tired from having formed the stone box around the ship...he was not used to expending that much spiritual energy at one time, and his body was telling him all about it. However, during the battle, Akimoto had slowly made his way to his room, and had, painfully, put on his armor on the off chance that he would have to fight.

Then he tried to work his way to a position where he would be able to watch the battle...but had instead gotten lost in the bowls of the ship.

"Never was very good with navigating." Akimoto muttered as he walked along. "Can't even tell which way is north down here."

A loud clang and a hiss made Akimoto jump and level his weapon at the sound, and his body protest the sudden movement with more aches. "Ow." Akimoto moaned.

The half-demon wandered around a little long, finally, inevitably, reaching a dead end.

"The gods are punishing me." Akimoto muttered to himself. "I don't know what for, but they are."

As Akimoto turned to go back the way he came, he sees a shadow form coming his direction. His head drooped. "Fine...whatever. I don't know what I did, but I'm sorry."

Akimoto shifted into a defensive stance, his spear forward. However, he was sore, tired, and had no rock anywhere near him. If whatever this thing was had any power whatsoever, it wouldn't go well for Akimoto.

Despite this, Akimoto smiles at the form. "Hi there."

((OOC: Arhra...you should be able to take down Akimoto pretty easily. Just don't beat him up too bad.))

GARUD 07-23-2005 06:09 AM

(OOC:Time to play catch up. Sorry about my earlier post which was full of garbage, which I promptly deleted)

If you put your ear to the ship's hull you could hear a faint
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH HHHHHHHHHHIHATEMYLIFEWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
++++On the hull (or under)++++

Garud was clutching for dear life to the hull of the contraption, with a wolf still biting his leg.

"Dont you buggers ever let go?"

The wolf growled, despite the limb in it's mouth. Garud kicked it three times and it fell to it's demise.

"How did I get here? Oh wait, I know...

++++Memory of what happened.++++

Garud was in desperate combat with the wolves, and knocked them all away. Kurama headed into the flying thingamijig, so Garud assumed they were retreating. He knocked the wolves out of the way with one swift blow of his staff and sprinted. He took one last look to see if anyone had noticed him, but in the commotion, everyone was pre-occupied. The thing strted to take off and Garud only just hung on to the bottom. The door was firmly shut.

Garud must have only just grazed the third wolf, as he didn't just suvive, but pursued it's target despite his legs being off the ground. Garud took one last look at the enemies, and concluded that this would be tougher than he had originally thought.

++++present time (and hanging from the hull)++++

"Okay, that is one problem down. Now, to get in."

Garud searched for a firm grip, and hoisted himself up the side. Now he had to enter the boat thingy. Keeping one part of his body solid, he hoisted the rest into the adjacant area. Now, making his legs solid and his arm invisible, he pulled the rest of himself in. That little move always gave him a headache.

He looked around the room, taking in where he was. It seemed to be connected to a kitchen type room. Garud's leg stiffened. The wolf bite must have had some side-effects.

"Darn that preistess. Argh..."

With that, Garud collapsed, hoping one of Kurama's companions would find him.
