Can't stand those Harry Potter spoiler-trolls?

I have the answer~!

Yet another fine Flash by Trev-Mun-Co-Inc-ILS

Antonio Pizza of 8-bit animated fame stars in a gut-wrenching, not quite slap-happy, comic-animated tale of complete and utter.... loserness.

I did heartily enjoy the part about Tikipedia, with the normal guy cleaning up the idiot's mess. You all did a fine service to the world.

Everyone deserves to find out the plot-points for themselves, instead of being forcibly spoiled of it ahead of time. It ruins the enjoyment of it. If you honestly think that folks can DESERVE to have the enjoyment of a good book spoiled for them by utter ass-hats with no lives, you have no business among the civilized sections of the internet. By your logic, the mods here who edit posts with unmarked spoilers should be removed from their posts.

To Silver Rose: The following excerpt explains the situation perfectly. It's pulled off of the DeviantArt link above.

Hell, one glance at YTMND.com, or the Harry Potter-related articles on Wikipedia (which are, as of this submission, being endlessly vandalized by trolls) will show that easily.

I'm no Harry Potter fan, and have never read the books, so that just goes to show how old this crap's gotten to be, when someone totally unrelated to the HP fandom has to go and make something like this.

Anyway, for all you Harry Potter fans out there (and anyone else who's tired of watching the trolls crap all over the internet), I present to you this public service announcement. Enjoy!

Besides, anyone should be able to go on the net and not see any spoilers. But, the first couple days of release, you literally could not avoid them at all. Trolls literally spammed them all over the place... unrelated threads in forums, topic names in forums, Wiki sites, all sorts of stuff. That type of assholery is never acceptable.

To the crew responsible for this flash: Good job, suirs. If I were wearing a hat, it'd be off to you.

Seriously, I hate the signatures on Chamber of Secrets Forums with there "DON’T SPOIL! DON’T SPOIL!" sigs, cause there not funny and highly annoying. They have the WORST sigs ever on that site. I only went there a few times, but I saw those stupid sigs there so much that I am never going back. In fact, I felt like killing the plot for them because of their signatures.

Aside from that, the flash was horrible in my opinion. The art did not appeal to me and the jokes weren't all that great either. This could of been done much better.

I find it quite funny, and I was fortunate enough to not find any spoilers for the book before I read it, and I was quite shocked at that fact. I believe that if you spoil a book for somebody, you are just acting like a jerk. I know a few people here who had their experience reading the book ruined by a spoiler.

Meister 07-26-2005 09:41 AM

As much as I agree with the notion that those who are out to spoil people for the sheer hell of it need to be beaten violently*, I can't help but remark that a book that can be entirely ruined by one spoiler isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I'd like to think there's more to literature than "who dies next?"

Mind you, I'm not saying "suck it up, you wussies"... more like a hearty "get a sense of perspective" to those who immediately go into hysterics. Either way, spoiler trolls, and what a nice name that is, are big wankers and there's no way around it.

Also, I'm a little proud of being able to provide a spoiler-free environment here. ^_^

*comic exaggeration

Keep in mind that Trev did the whole thing in a matter of just a few days. As in under a week. :thief:
