Can the party go inside the temple now?

I see the temple as having huge massive 50 meter walls too...

How did the demons get past the barrier (ignoring for now how fast those clouds had to have been going to catch up)? Unless I misread and barrier is INSIDE the castle instead of surrounding.

I see it as a grand temple surrounded by a barrier. Really, they don't need walls. Anything gets too close, it gets zapped by the barrier.

Oh, and for those interested in Takin:

Name: Takin
Gender: Male
Alignment: Good
Appearance: Stands 5'7", rather skinny. Wears robes that are meant for people larger than him, so they're very baggy. Has shaggy black hair that's never kept, and always wears his thick magnifying goggles. Instead of the usual sandals, he wears boots that were brought over from the west. On his left shoulder is a thick metal ring.
Skills: Technical Inginuity - Takin is extremely well versed in both engineering and technical advancement. If a person can think it up, he can build it.
Weapons: Guns (lots of them), explosives, and a mini cannon. Underneath his robes, Takin has manufactured a device that, when his robes are pulled aside, four guns pop up from the folded down position, and fire repeated blasts of metal ammo. On his shoulder is a thick metal ring. When activated, it pops up and extends. It then loads automatically with a large metal ball, and fires. Hidden in belts strapped to his body are many explosives. Flash bombs, grenades, fire bombs, etc.
Extra: Though he doesn't fight if he can avoid it, don't make him. When he starts a fight, many things tend to blow up. Lots of collateral damage.

This... isn't really good for me...

Man, four chapters to read through... this'll be fun. Bleh, I hate it when something like this happens...

Oh, and as for the demons getting inside...

Well, monks have to leave the barrier every once in a while, right? For scouting purposes. And how else would they get back in?

I'll leave the rest to them to figure it out.

With the talismans...

Well, it looks like they got in.

Well, since they're going to be in sooner than I thought, I'll need to put in some handicap. I intended to do a little bit of story while inside the temple, not just rush to the battle.

Now, these monks are not cannon-fodder. In fact, they're not something you will like at all. The monks Vance had run into were scouts, weak, but fast. The monks INSIDE the temple were trained from birth to kill anything strong enough to get past the barrier. Hence, if you go one-on-one with one, they will own you.

They aren't just martial artists. They're the whole, monk with the prayer beads and the strips of paper that casts the spells that make the demons fall down. They pwnz all. So, to slow you down a bit, you guys will probably spend a bit of time sneaking around. And, you aren't going to just come across the legs. No one knows where they are, and they can only be found after Kurama does something.
