Raiden 08-02-2005 11:10 PM

The thing is, it's not magic. It's science. Takin has spent many years studying the Raigaki and how it can be used with his science.

I had always intended for the hostile system to be there. You just happened, and I used it. It works in with the future plot. If you desperately want to know, PM me and I'll tell you.

Dante 08-02-2005 11:10 PM

I therefore support the creation of Nikat, a wily little techno-imp, who makes artifacts of evil for Team Evil.

Astral Harmony 08-03-2005 06:40 AM

This is an excellent time for Koyuki to get that sword that opposes the Raigaki made. She could always send it back for one of us to use. That way, Koyuki doesn't need to be used and won't even have to make a return appearance if Phoenix doesn't want her to.

Dragonsbane 08-03-2005 03:35 PM

I believe we also deserve a Pihsria, a device that can fly us about, and has an anti-hostile system powered by the Anti-Raigaki. Nikat, of course, protects it from anything even remotely resembling damage...such as the inconsequential rain of fire or two upon its wooden hull.

Darth SS 08-03-2005 05:05 PM

Oh, for the love of God...

Arha: DROP IT. Raiden's the bloody GM. If he says that the fucking DEATH STAR falls on Kirakiri, wiping her out of existence in a nuclear explosion, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED. If you don't like it, leave the RP. It's as simple as that.

Now, for a relevant example: Raiden didn't want Team Evil to be tearing apart Team Good right off the bat, and removing all the advantages. Thus, it doesn't happen. Thus, you were ejected from the boat. Last. Chapter. GET OVER IT.

Raiden: Judiciously done sir. If you don't want this to happen though, you should keep Team Evil on a shorter leash, or something. Maybe give Dante GM-like powers to keep Team Evil in line. Or something. Or make someone cast a protective spell over the ship, that Chikane takes X amount of time to decipher so Talkaltz' body parts can be stolen.

Dante: That was the most brutal interrogation sequence ever. You are an awful awful person. You truly sicken me.

Krylo&Raiden: I'm gone for a week. As such, I'm handing over control of Drak to both of you. Use him plot-device wise, and don't kill him. Injuries are fine.

Krylo: I fail to understand how your anti-Drak plan works, as he can just...copy it still. Take a moment to get, but he could still copy it. He's a jerk that way. Also, if you must write a Drak vs Yaburu scene, keep in mind that if Drak starts losing hand-to-hand, he'll cheat and cut Yaburu.

So...that about covers it.

Dragonsbane 08-03-2005 05:13 PM

Apparently, most of Team Good can now sense the approaching presence of Evil, hence the "bad feelings" they get at Team Evil's approach.

IHateMakingNames 08-03-2005 05:21 PM

I'm removing Jouji from the RP. I wanted to control minor NPCs, but instead he has turned into a generic enemy of Team Evil, and that's no fun. Also, I don't want to be a part of this random monk slaughtering Team Evil is doing.

Darth SS 08-03-2005 05:23 PM

There we go.

Is that better, DB?

Mintaro 08-03-2005 05:51 PM

Vance got a bad fealing about what was going on because he was starting to feel what he had done, not team evil. I say that just for clarity purposes. He can sense super strong daemon presences, but not team evil. So thats one team good extra sensory down.

Edit- Now that i've caught up. Nicely done team Evil. Crude, but evil.

Yes, it is. Thanks!

As I've said before, the outcomes are acceptable to me, but not the methods. The methods imply a certain disregard for the actions of the player. Now, if I had been warned of the anti-hostile system from the beginning (OOC that is), that would have stopped it from seeming a contrived cop-out.

I admit I have problems with the idea of the anti-hostile system conceptually. It just doesn't seem to fit. It's degree of sophistication sets precedents that I feel would be best avoided. For now though, I'll refrain from further arguement until I find out the intended place the system has later into the RP.

Oh, and Dragonsbane, that airship is mentioned as being made of iron so it wouldn't really be that flammable.

On a side note, I think the monk slaying is getting a bit much. It seems that the moment someone goes off and slaughters something, quite a few others feel the need to do the same.

On another side note, just as an advance warning, I've been considering what kind of resources a shapeshifter who's been around for nearly half a millenium has access to. He will be calling on some of those resources soon.

You and I know that, but Yaburu doesn't know that.

Repost: Also, I'm confused as to where everyone on TE is right now.

secretskull 08-04-2005 12:44 AM

Ishumo is walking around in monk robes, in the hallways near the shieldmasters room.

Dragonsbane 08-04-2005 09:44 AM

Ayame and Raikotsu are near the Shield Master's rooms as well. Also, Darth SS, it seems Garud is determined to spoil your good intentions.

Astral Harmony 08-04-2005 10:20 AM

White Kimono (Tsubasa Hirasaka) is in a deadend tunnel, keeping the tunnels clear of watchful eyes. Black Kimono (Chizuru Suzuki) is closer to the forest BlindMime introduced than the temple, keeping Chiyo out of harm, and they can be drawn to the temple by some excitement.

Also, you shouldn't worry about Blue Kimono (Kiyomi Matsuraba) and Violet Kimono (Rio Ikage). Unless you somehow get into the forest and start messing with stuff, they won't really do anything until Raiden 'N' Co. are long gone.

TheBlindMime 08-04-2005 01:02 PM

Actually mintaro introduced the forest I was in with the last of his side adventure. It theoretically covers the entire island and shields the barrier from view. Although thats not my call, this is Raidens toy.

Astral Harmony 08-04-2005 01:51 PM

(sings) This forest is your forest! This forest is my forest! (end singing)

Regardless, they're in there, and they're evil, and they'll...do stuff...that is harmful to people that are good.

PyrosNine 08-04-2005 02:25 PM

Wait, Isn't the shield master called the shield master for a reason? You know, Like he can put up a forcefield? Or something?

Dragonsbane 08-04-2005 03:54 PM

...why do I get a feeling Rio and Chikane would get along VERY well?

Also, can someone clear up for me exactly what Pyros is, and why everyone is treating him as a god?

PyrosNine 08-04-2005 04:26 PM

Nah, he's not a god. Back then they'd worship anything on the earth that was really powerful, and call them gods. Ifrit is such a being. Well the monks believed him to be a servant of the gods, so they brought him to their shrine so he could commune with the gods and be granted blessings. Pyros, who is confused at life, wasn't able to object due to their vagueness.

The ifrit thing goes back to a long time ago, when Pyros was young and stumbled across the being Ifrit. Well, ifrit was enraged by another fire being walking onto his turf without his saying so (because ifrit was then the lord of all flames) and attempted to discipline Pyros. Pyros tried to avoid fighting, which enraged Ifrit more, and soon Pyros found he had to contend with the beast. Ifrit broke Pyros's current sword at the time, so Pyros fought with Ifrit hand to hand, and beat him into surrender.

This was not good for Ifrit, for if another Fire being bested him, that would mean he was no longer the "lord of the Flame" and Pyros now has control over every fire being in the world. When all the fire beings showed up and bowed to Pyros, he got nervous and bolted. Pyros has many mental issues. Pyros disavows being the 'lord of the flame' and will not direct his minions, and expects Ifrit to continue doing it. But the other fire beings won't listen to Ifrit, as he is not their boss.

The way fate turns out is that now Fire has no reins, and any fire being can do whatever the hell they want to without having any other fire person telling them what to do. So from then on, the only goverment of Fire is anarchy and chaos. So when your house is burnt down by a Flame sprite, You can blame Pyros.

As for the God thing, At this very moment, Raikotsu, Kurama, and Yaburu and others are as strong as any "god" So it means little. If any of you were prideful and stuff, you could walk up to some mortals and tell them to bow down to you and all that stuff.

Oops! Forgot to discuss what Pyros is! The answer is: It's a mystery!
I guess you could call him A Fire Angel. Or something. He's just too pacifistic (is that a word? Heck, it should be.) to do th Firey stuff.

NEXT CONAN'S HINT!:
Conan: Chikane did it! No wait... She did everyone.

Dragonsbane 08-04-2005 04:35 PM

So...Pyros IS a god, because he beat the most powerful existing being of flame? Or, at least, the king of all fire-beings?

Fire beings everywhere are in a load of trouble if the Air demons learn of this weakness!

PyrosNine 08-04-2005 04:38 PM

Yes, if you put it that way. Though in the same way it could be said that Talkatz is the God of the Demons, as he the king of all things demonic.

DB: Well, bummer.

Raiden: Yes. funny. How come no one noticed the Trogdor joke?

Raiden 08-04-2005 04:53 PM

I think I understand how it works.

There is no "God" of an element. There's simply the most powerful of that element. So, Ifrit USED to be the most powerful fire spirit in the world, so he was the lord of the fire spirits. But, since Pyros defeated him, Pyros is now the Lord of the Fire Spirits. Not a god, persay, but the ruler, because he's the most powerful.

That's how it works with the demons in this RP, anyway. Talkatz is the ruler because he's the most powerful. Even without his body, his soul can still possess any demon stupid enough to take his throne. That's why, even though he's not technically alive anymore, the demons still follow his commands.

And I liked your comments on the element lords. Electricity couldn't hold it's attention long enough to intervene. And Raiden is the Lord of Thunder. Heh. A small joke.

Dragonsbane 08-04-2005 05:04 PM

...I saw the Trogdor thing, I just forgot a minute later!

Arhra 08-05-2005 07:04 AM

Hmm, I feel obliged to point out two facts that could have a very large effect on events after Team Evil retreats from the temple.

1) Kirakiri knows where the airship is landed.

2) If there's a battle with Team Good, Kirakiri (and anyone else who's noticed Team Good's numbers) will also know that the airship is all but deserted.

Discuss.

Oh, and we need a new discussion thread.

Well, depending on how the battle goes, Kirakiri may not be in any shape to be off playing sabotage again. Also, after said battle...won't Team Good be heading back to said airship, as well?

And this brings up a good point: Will getting out of the barrier be as hard as getting in? Or is it a one-way kinda deal? Because if the barrier fries people both ways, then Team Evil will have to go out the way they came in...which on the other side of the island from the airship, if I recall correctly.

Arhra 08-05-2005 09:53 AM

I more mean a coordinated assault on the airship while there's almost no-one there. A bit crude, but very effective. It's not as if Team Good would suddenly go rushing back towards their airship once the battle was over. You might have a point about the barrier though.

Dragonsbane 08-05-2005 10:16 AM

The Airship probably needs the Raigaki to be inserted into the ignition in order to run. It wouldn't bode well for Team Good if Kurama accidentally locked it inside.

Dante 08-05-2005 10:28 AM

So what would inserting the anti-Raigaki into the airship's system's do?

Dragonsbane 08-05-2005 10:38 AM

Corrupt it into the sexy yet evil airship which Team Evil will use for transportation during its nefarious schemes.
