Is it just me, or do their code names remind me of boss names from the Mega Man X series?

Edit: And, on a side note, that the one named Lancer Puma is the Anti-Tank guy...RvB reference, methinks.

The codenames are a Metal Gear reference. See here.

InvaderKrag 08-07-2005 12:54 PM

Ah, yes. I had forgotten. Been a while since I attacked one of those games.

Kurosen 08-07-2005 12:54 PM

Nope, no RvB references. The name Tex is simply derrived from the line "Whoah, whoah, whoah! Nice shootin', Tex," from Ghostbusters. Also, since Tex is lone wolf sniper type, it's fitting for him to be "mysterious" and not let anyone know his real name.

And "lancer puma" is just what came up on the random MGS name generator I used when it came time fill in Roy's filecard.

Huh. Interesting. Oh well...I mean, you don't regularly make references to other comics....that red robot was in there waaaaaaay back, but whatever.

I am definitely sorry that this is over...

This was a briliant little treat whilst FF was on hold. I thouroughly enjoyed it and am quite happy with this week. Thanks Brian. =D

Gah haha. Top secret files=understanding the otherwise way to similiar sprites=laughing at the comics a bit more.
