FF7 Computer Help
Like a few people in Cyberspace, I purchased a copy of Final Fantasy 7 for the PC and after installing it onto my laptop, I was unpleasantly suprised to find that the only way I could select [OK] was by using a keyboard. Which my brand new laptop dosen't seem to be able to do. There are no jacks for the plugging in of a keyboard, so is there anyway I can configure the keys out of game so that I can finally re-play the damn game?????
OH PLEASE SAY SOMEONE CAN HELP ME! Otherwise, my powerful Red XIII will have to stay as a poor scrap of data. Oh and if you happen to know, What ever happened to Red XII and previous? (I guess it could be a spoiler, but I could never find out so mods. please don't tan my arse.) |
Well, does it have an USB port? You could use an USB-keyboard.
Spoiler below! Red XIII was a codename, made up by the doctor. His dad died fighting invaders of that canyon and his mother died from grief, if I remember well.I don't know of any other of Nanagi's kind. And that's all I know kids. And I might be wrong, it's been a while. |
I might just have to, I have a wireless mouse, but thinking of it, a usb keyboard would seem obsolete since well... the laptop pretty much is a keyboard and touchpad combo.
But if I really can't find one I guess I'll have to try it. |
What else would you suggest using if not a detachable keyboard?
Usb keyboards can go for about 6 bucks (USD) to 13 and still rock your socks my good man~ Hell...even the ps2 keyboards go for about $10. Mow someone's front yard and you're set. |
You mean your laptop doesn't have keys on it? How are you typing this?
|
Regarding the whole red 13 thing
Only the red part is really specific the 13 or XIII indicates what experiment number he is Sephiroth is either 1 or 0 i can't remember which and you find some of the others along the way the guys in black cloaks who follow sephiroth. the red part is simply because Nanaki is red. bit of related info is that cloud is also one of these experiments but hojo thought he was a failure and didnt give him a number, |
You should get yourself one o' them nifty USB controllers. They're shaped just like PS2 controllers, and they're reeeeeeeally useful. Y'know, for games. And stuff.
|
Or you could go to radio shack and get the usb/ps2 converter which allows you to use a ps2 controller on a computer. Or order it online.
Do it. You know you want to. |
Zweihander, I do have key's on my laptop, a laptop isn't a laptop without its keys!
Oh and I finally decided to get the wireless keyboard after all. It appears that I have 2 of them stashed away from one of my repair scemes. Anyway, I started playing 3 days back and now I'm really pissed off at the game. You see, as soon as the section of the Chocobo Races section starts the game glitches like crazy!! The music screws up and the screen goes black. It really sucks, if you haven't the slightest clue what I'm talking about, read a different thread. Anyway, the annoying little pop-up appears alerting you that FF7.exe had a problem and now, you have the option of sending Microsoft a error message telling them its screwed up. I don't feel like getting reply messages about new crap Microsoft is offering so can anyone point me in the right direction of a patch file or a list of people who can fix these sort of things? Oh and about the PS2 Converter, I'm Damn Broke, I can't even afford a pack of gum at the time I'm typing this so, maybe when I get requests for help or PowerPoints. Anyway Thanks.. |
Since we are talking FF7 Computer help here, does anyone know why, right after you get out of Corel Prison and you have to do the chocobo race when the race starts the screen goes completely blank? I got there a couple times an it always does the same thing. I'm not sure if it matters but i am running windows XP.
