All right, fixed my background. The Clan Invasion actually began in 3050, but I'm not going to push things here. Besides, it was mostly in late 3050 anyway.

It was march.

Name: Adam Drelik

Adam had always wanted to be like his dad, piloting a mech and gaining glory on the battlefield. However, unlike his father, Adam went through the route of the standard military mech pilot. Getting schooling from a good acadamy on mech pilotig, as well as going through basic training because of the military route, Adam was ready for the military life. Quickly making a name for himself on the battlefield, Adam found that he was naturally suited to being a mech pilot. While he still wasn't that high of a rank, people could depend on his to get the job done. Adam really liked that he had inherited his father's talent, and found it easy to keep going. That was, of course, until Adam's father died of a terminal illness. It shocked the young man how suddenly it had come, especially since Adam was so busy with his military career that he'd almost forgotten about his family. To honor his father and his, now disbanded, mercenary squad, Adam resigned from the military and took his dad's old Thunderbolt and went to Solaris to participate in the games. The "Equalizer", as Adam likes to call the mech, got a new coat of paint, but kept the same emblem, to show that he's honoring his dad. As well as that, the old mech got a complete mechanical and weapons overhaul, thanks to some favors people owed him from his military days, as well as some things he knew about mechs himself. While Adam is still a rookie in the arena, he does have quite a few years of experience from his military days. Because of that, he's been quickly making a name for himself, but he hasn't really gotten a good headstart with his new career on Solaris because he's so new. He still has a while to go, but he knows he's going to get somewhere eventually, spreading the stories of his dad and his squad as he goes along. Well, if I screwed anything up, just tell me and I'll fix it. |

Conflicts in which the IS forces got easily kicked about (like Trell I and Turtle Bay) happened at the onset. anyway that's really neither here nor there, I'm guessing. |
Wolcott happened in 3051, and twycross was in 3052

(Taken directly from Lethal Heritage, first volume in the Blood of Kerensky trilogy)
The first chapter invovling the battle of Twycross is dated September 10, 3050. The chapter involving the battle of Wolcott is dated October 2, 3050. (Taken from Classicbattletech.com's master timeline of the Battletech universe) 3050: Anastasius Focht appointed CS ambassador to the Clans, Clans invade Inner Sphere, Leo Showers killed, Battle for Wolcott, CS begins aiding the Clans, FC retakes Twycross, Turtle Bay Massacre, Invasion halted. |
I confused the battle of twycross with the battle of Tukayyid

Eh, it happens. No big deal.

Will there be stuff happening outside the cockpit that uses our skills?
Because if there isn't, I don't see the point in basic requirements, or indeed, any skills at all except piloting and gunnery. |
there might, i haven't decided. Like say we decide to enlist as mercenaries and go fight the clans, we may need to have some extra vehicular shoot outs.
