((OOC: If I got this correct, I will start at 1205 on a-map and run to 1412, facing 1413. If I am also correct this gives me cover from both the hill and the woods.))
IC: "Shit guys what are you doing starting without me?" Razma said as he jumped into the sim. He immediatly jetted off, deciding that Scott might need a little help rather than the others. |
(Walking from 506 to 906)
"Karen, you OK? I'm right behind ya. Haven't had a good shot yet, but I'll see if I can get closer to the flag." So far, Ryan had not been much help. With only lasers to work with and no advantages at his disposal, he decided to keep moving as best he could towards the flag and stay out of anyones line of fire. (OOC: Lasers aren't much good if all the shots you can make need a critical hit to actually give you a hit. ) |
Tillie was sitting out the fight, trying to gather as much as she could about the skill of those she was now with. Automatically, she felt out of place. These were people who were more than the competent MechWarriors.
You're not a great MechWarrior, Tillie. Merely a competent one. Just listen to what the others tell you to do and you'll be all right. Tillie sighed, wondering how she became a MechWarrior anyways. It initially started out with fear. Tillie feared going up against a BattleMech one day without having one of her own to defend herself. And now that she had a BattleMech...a large, formidible looking one like the Viktor, she was really starting to feel like she was simply outclassed. I can't protect myself from hostile Mechs by simply having one of my own. I also need to learn how to pilot the damn thing. She continued to watch the others. If she could, she'd join them on the battlefield, learn what it means to be a real MechWarrior, and then she wouldn't feel so unconfident anymore. Otherwise, they'd just tell her to leave them alone, she could always sell the BattleMech, and live the rest of her days in silent indifference as some fledgling noblewoman. Only time would tell. |
OOC:
Piloting roll garnered an 8, which should be enough. Movement from 608 to 611, walking move. BIC: Sigil said nothing as his world rocked from the missile hits to his head and torso. He didn't have to. What Raviel hadn't noticed that he was now just slightly over 800 meters away from Lucifer... ...and the Atlas could fire all its weapons at the Archer from that range. Sigil tapped the screen on his mech, and multiple targeting displays and indicators sprang up all over the reticle. He centered it on the Archer, and the viewscren pulsed a malevolent red. A glowing bar marked ALPHA STRIKE materialized below the morass of lines and numbers and brackets. "Thing fall apart, the center cannot hold..." He pushed the button. "Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world." For a moment, there was nothing. Then the autocannon spat its massive projectile in a plume of flame and smoke milliseconds before a veritable torrent of missiles and lasers erupted from Lucifer, heading downrange towards Raviel. As the smoke cleared, Sigil scanned the screen, looking for any signs of the Archer having survived the barrage. OOC: ALPHA STRIKE: Target Ecurt Base gunnery TN is 3 Distance to victim - 9 squares (+4 TN for everything other than the LRM 20, which gets +2) 1 square of forest cover: +1 TN Target moved: +1 TN AC/20 - 10 (Hit) 6 (Right Torso) LRM 20 - 9 (Hit) 5 (12 missiles hit) 3 (5 missiles hit Right Arm) 12 (5 missiles hit Head) 11 (2 missiles hit Left Arm) SSRM 6 - 5 (Miss) SSRM 2 - 9 (Hit) 2 missiles hit (4 - Right Arm) SSRM 2 - 11 (Hit) 2 missiles hit (4 - Right Arm) Medium Laser - 7 (Miss) Medium Laser - 7 (Miss) Medium Laser - 7 (Miss) Medium Laser - 4 (Miss) |

Scott took note of the indicator alerting him to the compromised leg armoring. I'm going to have to be real careful of that He kept the mech running full bore in a straight line along the edge of the map using the forrest as cover. He turned at the end to keep along the edge. and began a sprint toward the river. ( Sprint maneuver end position 1216 facing 1116, to fire on me wolf you need to fire through two hexes of light forrest, and you'd need to change your facing. I moved 12 hexes) |
((Walking from 1412 to 1517 in map A))
Razma starts to slow his progress down as he prepares an attack on a Crusader he spotted. He starts to aim his LB-10X and decides to take his time in aiming, so not to miss. ((I'll fire on basically my turn 3.)) |
((I drew a straight line from the middle of my hex to your hex. I beleived that it only went through one hex of light forest, but I'm not entirely sure so I'll take your word for it.))
((Faces 0414, Runs to 0414, Faces 0515, Runs to 0515)) Line of sight is clear on Scotts Locust at 7 Hexes. Short Range at 7 hexes for ER PPC)) BIC: Kyle couldn't believe that the Locust had gotten past all of them. Well, not quite all of us, He thought as he brought his Warhammer down to a small thicket of woods. Standing at the edge of the woods, he could see the Locust sprinting to its position. Damn that thing is fast he thought as he brought his PPCs to bear on the target and cut loose. The first PPC slammed into the Locust's left torso, artificial lightning flaying away armor on the mech. His second shot missed low, burning a scar into the ground. Well, at least I hit him he thought as he began to sweat from the momentary heat spike caused by his barrage. The Warhammer's double heat sinks quickly began to counteract the heat. ((I had to redo this because I'm so confusing)) ((okay, short range, base hit is 3, +2 for running, +1 for light forest, +4 for target movement of +10 hexes. # for hit is 10)) ((ER PPC1 - 10 (hit) 8 (Left Torso) 10 damage)) ((ER PPC2 - 6 (miss))) ((+30 heat, -36 for heat sinks(18 dbl HS), equals zero heat.)) |
((Pilot Check: 3. Just barely...-_-;))
((Not entirely sure about this, so I'll change it if it's wrong)) ((403 to 501, facing 517-A, ran)) He had overestimated the cover the wood would give him. Red lights instantly lit up all over his mech, and the armor from his right torso was almost completely gone. Half of his armor at his head was gone too, and his right arm was not looking good. As for himself; he almost lost balance, but just barely managed to save himself at the last moment. "I'm alright...really, I am." However, he knew from that alpha strike that the Atlas wouldn't be able to fire again so soon. He'd have to gamble once again, and hope there wasn't an ambush. After regaining his balance, he rushed to close the distance, he let his SSRMs lock on before doing a group fire, letting loose an assault of lasers and missiles. The heat surged within his cockpit, but it was worth it to see the Atlas get pounded. Now, he just needed to get cover before the Atlas could attack him again. ((0 base, +1 target moved, +2 Attacker ran, 6 hexes away, medium range for (2) SSRM, long range for (4) Medium Pulse Lasers)) ((MPL: 0+1+2+4=7)) ((1 shot: 6+4=10, hit; 2 shot: 2+1=3, miss; 3 shot: 5+5=10, hit; 4 shot: 1+3=miss)) ((1 hit: 4+6=10, Left Arm; 2 hit: 1+1=Torso, Critical Center Torso)) ((SSRM: 0+1+2+2=5)) ((1 shot: 4+5=9, hit; Missiles of 2: 1+3=4; 1 missile)) ((Location: 1+6=7, Center Torso, 1 Missile)) ((2 shot: 1+4=5, hit; Missiles of 2: 5+5=10; 2 missile)) ((Location: 4+2=6, Right Torso, 2 Missiles)) ((Critical hit: 6+1=7, no critical)) ((Total heat: 4 (4) Pulse Medium Laser, 2 (2) SSRM, -10 from heat sinks, 2 from running: 16+4+2+2-10=14)) |

Comming around a hill, Ryan saw Razma. What was best of all was he finally had a clear shot at someone. Lining him up, Ryan hit the triggers, firing his ER Large lasers. As one shot went wide, he saw the other one impact on Razma's Centurion's right arm. (2 ER Large, short range, 5hex, base 3 + 2run +2move[IC]=7) ER Large-4miss ER Large-11hit 4-right arm So 8 damage to your right arm. heat: 2run+ 12 ER Large + 12 ER Large - 20(10 double heatsinks)=6heat |
Razma didn't see Ryan until he took a strong blow to his right arm. "Crap, your going to pay for that one." He said as he switched to Configuration B and locked onto him with everything.
OOC: I believe this is called an Alpha strike. ((Ok, Base is 4, +2 for Ryan moving. I believe it is 6 to hit.)) ((LB-10X is in short range. Roll is a 6 so hit. 7 for position so Torso. Damage is 10)) ((LRM-10 is also short range. Roll for amount of missles is 10 which means 8 missles are fired. First five to hit roll is a 9 so they end up hitting Right side torso for 5 damage. The last three to hit roll is a 7, location is a 12, so 3 damage to the head.)) ((The two medium lasers are in medium range so it takes an 8 to hit. First one's hit roll is a 9, location is torso so take 5. The second laser hit roll is an 11, location is 3 so take 5 damage in the right arm.)) ((God I got lucky in the rolls. Final Damage is: Torso 18 Head 3 Right Arm 5)) SECOND EDIT: Looks like we got mixed up, its a 2 on location rolls that score crits. So no crits from me. |
