OOC: Final orientation, 0607 facing 0608 on Map A after a full run at 5 hexes.
"Roger that." The Atlas pounded through the simulated terrain, pausing briefly as it mounted a small rise adjoining the ridge in question. Sgil tapped his screen, and the boxy sights of the missile batteries solidified in bright red around the cool green reticle. |
((Run to point 0310, Facing 309, Moved 5, Turned 1, for 6 MP. Dante, y'know it cost an extra move point to turn, walk up an incline, and go through trees, right?))
"Allright. Let's move out." Karen said over comms, breaking her mech into a run, weaving past trees and trying to stay in the clear where she could get a good amount of speed out of her mech. |
(Run to 0210, 8 move[trees], facing 0209)
Moving forward, Ryan passed through the trees, a clearing, and then more trees. Emerging, he came up to the edge of another forest. "I'm right behind you." |
(Run to 311, making two turns and travelling 4 Hexes, for 6MP, facing 310)
Accelerating his mech to Karen's lead, he kept a sharp eye on his radar, while still paying attention to the veteran mercenary and the surrounding terrain. Her plan made more sense than what he had been thinking, and he could probably learn a thing or two about tactics just by watching the others. |
"Lucifer you may fire at will." Blaze was willing to show them why they called him that he throttled his mech to the max and concentrated on his piloting
(Sprint maneuver to 1117 facing b map) |
OOC: From 0606, advance 1 square to 0607, then advance 1 more square to 0608.
"Understood." The Atlas made its way up the hillside, reaching a tall plateau which afforded him a good line of sight to the enemy flag. Sigil knew he was terribly exposed, but he also knew that his armor plating would help with that. |
((From 310 to 406, facing 506, Ran. I have LOS of Sigil's atlas, since he's 2 elevation higher than me and the closest trees are a ways away and on elevation 0))
Karen proceeded through a small stretch of forest, and continued toward a small peak of high ground on the Red team's side of the field. Her radar bleeped for a moment, and her targeting computer drew a wireframe atlas in the lower right hand corner of her HUD, next to her own wireframe Crusader damage readout. "Enemy mech, detected." The computer said calmly. "Great..." Karen sighed, looking at the Atlas on the hill in the distance, making out it's massive skull head in the distance, a huge mech standing on a huge hill. She decided to reach out and touch him, twisting her Crusader's torso left slightly, and bringing the boxy missle reticule over Sigil's atlas. Moments later, a tone signaled lock on. It was a hard shot for sure, over such range, but Karen didn't have anyone better to shoot at, and she wanted to say hello. "Atlas has come out to play guys." Karen said over the comms. "Watch that AC-20." Kyle's voice replied, giving sound advice. "Right. Take him out at range people. That AC20 can't reach too far." With a quick trigger pull, the LRM 15 on the Crusader's left arm launched 3 groups of missles, containing five each. The weapons arced lazily toward Sigil's Atlas. The first group fell short, and Karen sighed, thinking she'd missed him completely. This was quickly changed with the second group slammed right into the Atlas' head, and the third grazed the side of it's right arm, exploding in a ragged pattern of tiny fireballs. She smiled as the atlas's damage readout showed the right arm turn green, and the head flash yellow. ((Firing on Sigil's Atlas, 16 hexes, long range, LRM-15, 2 base +2 ran, +2 long range, 3 shots, 5 LRMs each. 8+ to hit)) ((Solution, 1+3 = 4, miss, 3+5 = 8 hit, 5+5 = 10 hit. 10 missles hit, determining location...)) ((12... Omg. Sorry Dante, Head. Second salvo hits 4, Right arm)) ((If I did that right, Dante's Atlas suffers 5 damage to it's head, and 5 damage to it's right arm.)) |
(From 311, to 405, facing 404, ran. Following Karen's lead, attacking Sigil's mech)
Following Karen's Crusader through the terrain, he too caught sight of the Atlas very quickly. And, just as she did, he decided to greet the Atlas with a warm welcome. "Hey, lady, watch this." Grinning, sure he would impress his lance mates, he locked on and fired both of his long range missile pods. His face fell though, when half of his missiles missed the Atlas completely. However, the others managed to hit the assault mech squarely on the chest. They'd barely scratch the Atlas' tough armor. "Damn..." He didn't have to take a look at his mech's stats to know he was already beginning to run hot. Of course, he wouldn't have liked to rush in close enough to use his pulse lasers anyway. "Guess we just gotta keep hitting him hard from a distance, eh?" (ARC-5S model. Has 2 LRM 15s, 2 Streak SRM 2s, 4 Pulse Medium Lasers) ((Firing on Sigils Atlas, 17 hexes, long range, 0 base +2 ran + 4 Long Range, LRM-15 x 2, 6 shots, 5 LRMs each.)) ((15 hit, 15 missed...determining location)) ((5, Center torso. 5, Left Torso. 5,Right Torso.)) ((Total of 5 damage on all of the Atlas' Torso)) |
ooc: Dante take a pilot check you recieve 1 point of backlash. Basically the head shot caused a short circuit in the snesor system and your head is completing the circuit. no modifiers.

(run to 506 facing 605)
"Haven't any missles. Could use my ER Large lasers but too chancy at this range. I'll watch our right flank. See if their light tries to creep by that way." (OOC: if i counted correctly, I would need to roll 10+ for my lasers to hit.) |
