Scott kept the throttle down and continued to bound his way across the field the heat build up from running at top speed.
(Sprint to 1508 facing 1408 using the forrest as cover.) |
OOC: 1407 to 1009, turn to 1010, then proceed to 1010. 6 MP in all, if the math's right.
IC: Adam finally started off running over a small, woods covered hill, stopping on the other side. Looking around, he saw Sigil being fired on already, while Scott was quickly making his way to the flag. If he could get a shot off, maybe he could stop them from firing on Sigil for now. "Damn it, nothing..." Adam thought, looking at his surroundings and his radar. "You gonna make it, Sigil?" he asked his lancemate in concern. |
OOC: *Viciously strangles the subscription system for not notifying him of any of the new posts, takes a few breaths, and gets to work*
0313, B-Map, Facing 0312 BIC: Kyle was glad that luck had put him on Karen's team. Having a former comrade on his side would tip the odds back more in their favor, especially since Sigil and his Atlas were on the other side of the fight. He didn't mind being stuck in the back, guarding the flag, either. While the thought of command was intriguing, he knew that it wasn't necessary, and he was content with following orders. He held his ground while Karen, Raviel, and Ryan moved up. He silently praised the well-executed attacks on Sigil's Atlas by Karen and Raviel, and knew that eventually (providing that the enemy didn't foolishly get bogged down in a fight in an attempt to save the Atlas) the enemy would soon come for him, for the flag He would be ready, however. |
((Run from 406 to 804, facing 904, using high ground as a good vantage point to fire missles. Line of fire just crosses squishy's mech at 7 hexes, LRM short range.))
Karen kept her throttle up and crested the hill, keeping a sharp eye on Sigil's Atlas. She silently praised Raviel's well coordinated attack, but her attention was quickly drawn to something else. "Hostile mech, detected." A Locust, Scott's, was in their backfield, running breakneck toward the flag. She cursed at not seeing him earlier, and twisted her mech's torso right to get a bead on the light mech. He was moving fast, but considerably closer than the Atlas. "Hostile skirmisher past our line, engaging." Karen says over the comms, cycling to, and firing her right arm LRM-15 at the offending Locust, 5 of which streaked over the interdicting trees, fortuitiously managing to find the mech's right leg, while the other 10 slammed into the trees below, blasting the poor wooden objects apart. A dull "Whirr-Chink" sound indicated that her left arm LRM-15's had reloaded. ((3 Volleys, at +4 (10 hex move target), +2 (I ran) or 8+ to attack. Assume +2 elevation gets me a shot over the woods, since Squishy isn't *inside* the woods.)) ((5+3=9, Hit, 3+3=6 miss, 2+1=3 miss)) ((5 missles hit 6, right leg, from the right side table, dealing 5 damage.)) |
((Faces 0413, Walks to 0413, Faces 0513))
Kyle knew that Karen had moved towards the incoming mech, based on that knowledge he brought himself to face the likely line of approach. He kept the stream between them, so the mech would still have to go around or through if he wanted the flag. "Karen," he radioed to her. "If you set him up, I'll knock him down." |
((405 to 403, walked))
Raviel moved forward again, into the trees, towards Sigil's mech. It wouldn't do to have everybody ignore the heaviest mech around. "Karen, I'll move in and finish off the Atlas. You can squash a bug on your own, right?" ((Not firing since Dante hasn't had a chance to respond)). |
ooc: You forgot your delay Phoenix LRM's are reloading. The delay is the time it takes for the weapon to be ready to fire again. Be mindful of the delay, it can save you and it can kill you, best example if dante alpha strikes his weapons are off line for a round meaning he's a sitting duck
|
OOC: Going from 1010 to 1012, turning 913, going to 813, and turning to 814. Phoenix is 8 hexes away. Medium range for an LRM-15 salvo.
IC: Running closer toward the midline and turning toward the right in the middle of his run, Adam got a message from his computer. "Enemy mech detected." Looking at what the computer had picked up, he saw a wireframe of a Crusader pop up on the corner of his HUD. Karen's mech had just fired on Scott's, and now would be a good time to distract her. Turning his mech in her direction and locking on, he readied a salvo on his LRM-15 launcher. The shoulder mounted launcher flared up as one missle after another was launched in the direction of Karen's Crusader. Slowly, but surely, they made their way toward her mech, homing in on their target as best they could with the quick lock. The first five missles hit the left leg, while the next five hit the left arm with one going a little too far off to the side and missing, and the last five going up over the mech's head. "Yes! Okay, now I just gotta hope that I can do a little more," Adam thought as the missles impacted and blew up. "You still together, Blaze? Go and get the flag, I'll see what I can do while I have her attention." OOC: Let's see... 3 volleys. +2 (Running), +1 (target moved 4 hexes), +2 (Medium range) +8 total. Rolls: 3+6=9 hit. 4+4=8 hit. 5+2=7 miss. Location: 5, left arm. 6, left leg. Damage: Rolled a 7, so 9 missles. 5 on the leg, and 4 on the arm. Is all that correct? |
ooc: Neg. I used the left LRM 15 last round, and the right LRM 15 this round. I am alternating them, as I have two. I am mindful of my delay stats Squishy. ;)
No Lazy, should be 5 and 5. I don't have an AMS. |
ooc: alright then i need a piloting check since you took the armor off the leg. 3, 3, and another 3. I needed 3 and I rolled 12 so I keep my feet.
