yeah it bassically works like this, Spin the weapons around your body until you hit someone. It is physically possible to launch them like one would normally do, but I think that's a bit over the top. Sense it was something he learned when he was young and not something he ever tried to master.
|
Yes, but if either weapon's chain tangles the other, or your arm, head, or other appendage, the scytheblade goes out of control, likely sinking into a part of your body, which is no good for you. Doing that without being a master would be excessively hard.
If he could pull it off, it'd be neat though, while it lasted. |
Also, Raiden, Yaburu is going to take a break for awhile after this. He'll pop up to do that thing we discussed and re-enter the RP at that time. With a few upgrades as that he'll be spending all the time until then training/improving himself. I'll PM the upgrades to you for approval.
Here's the alternate. Name: Hando Konpaku Side: Neutral, currently siding with good. Race: Human Age: 21 Appearance: Konpaku is a lithe wispy youth whose eyes are always closed and whose face is always serene, almost as if he is in a deep sleep, even in the most vicious of combat, and his moves alter between extremely fluid to extremely jerky, like a human body being pulled on puppet strings. Weapons: Konpaku uses no weapons. Special Skill: Astral manifestation. He can manifest his astral form into the real world into various forms--creating huge demonic beasts around his body, gatling guns from his hands, swords, etc. Further, he can pull his body along with his astral form, allowing him to do things like fly--and can leave his body behind making him invisible to anyone who isn't ALSO astrally projecting until he manifests himself onto the physical realm. However, despite his ability to remove his soul from his body, neither he or anyone else is certain what would happen if his body was destroyed as that he still uses it as an anchor to his world. (Basically, he has lots of abilities, including invisibility [but can't attack while invisible], however, his human body is just that--a human body. No special strengths and easily destroyed if you get to it when he's not there.) History: Konpaku's name means, translated, Ghost Hand, and that isn't his birth name. Orphaned into a sect of spiritual monks, Konpaku was taught how to astrally project himself at a young age, but, unlike the monks, Konpaku wasn't happy merely being able to witness events that happened far beyond him. He wanted to alter them, and so he began seeking power. The power to manifest his fluid astral form onto the physical world, and, before long, he was stopping murders, saving the helpless, etc. all from the safety of his monastery. However, the monks were not happy about this, citing that power corrupts, and that his power had become too great. In the end, he was banished, but the monks were right. He kept on strengthing his manifestations, until his body was placed into a state of constant suspended animation, and merely drug about by his astral self... and his powers gave him unreal perception. With the ability to disconnect from his body and see everything, he saw how foolish and weak people could be, and he has taken it upon himself to fix that. By controlling them. Hando Konpaku seeks to rule the world: However, Talkatz is in his way. Extra: Konpaku isn't an idiot, and isn't going to reveal that he's in this for anything other than altruism until Talkatz is dead or his hand is forced. Also, Drak might be able to learn astral projetion/manifestation, but it'll be extremely draining for him. Extremely draining. Edit: Almost forgot, while he CAN do ranged things pretty decently, every projectile that leaves his 'astral body' is basically ripping chunks out of his soul and throwing them at people. Not only extremely draining for him, but also painful. Edit 2: Power needs better explanation. He can't manifest things out of nothing, what he CAN do is shape his 'soul' or 'astral self' into various shapes and physically manifest it. His soul/astral self is always around his body, though, because it's how his body moves in the first place. |
Ok, Raiden. No more pulling items out of my ass (though it's very roomy). My life-cycles are storyline only. But when Garud dies, he's out of the RP. Thats why I chose 3 years. Not too long, and not too short. If there is a sequal and I want to bring my character back (or use him as an NPC), I have a way to have him back (if Raiden lets me). He dies. Thats the end of him (I did post that it's not the same as Vances, didn't I?).
I'm not sure if that would actually be Garud's magic though. Demonic magic is based on illusion. It's sorta like this. Illusions aren't real. So this magic is usually useless. But, in exceptional cases (Like Garud and possibly Talkaz), the illusions can come to life. Now, Demonic magic is heavy on the mind, so it can turn most people insane, and Garud is treading a fine line. Now, illusions take time to construct. Depending on the size of the illusion, it may take more time. It would take him more than two years to construct another sun, but it will probably take him an instant to create a feather (Beams take 4 seconds). Now, the teleporting is just Garud creating an illusion of himself (which becomes real), and speeds it up by transferring his current body's energy, over there. If he even screws up one part of teleportation, he could end up killing all who are involved (by accident). Weaknesses:-His mind. He could not care less about his body, but if you destroy his mind, anything can happen. Why? Because thats all he's got. And losing his mind makes him unstable. Now, is this a good definition of Demonic magic? If you have any problems with it, post away. Garud is out for now, until it's time to leave or if Kurama calls him, so he wont be doing anything. EDIT: Also, I may not be able to get to the computer for a while, so Raiden can have control of Garud for a while. |

It's all about dehabilitation and destruction. |
Hmm, a few considerations. Firstly, I disagree with that definition of demonic magic as being illusionary. Allow me to waffle on psuedo-philosophically for a while.
Simply it is magic used by demons. Now considering this is a fuedal Japanese setting, the exact nature of what is a demon is a little different. In this RP, we seem to be basically classifying most, if not all, spirits as demons. So basically demon magic would be the magic of spirits. Now being their magic, it would reflect their traits. As such the magic of your 'typical' oni would likely be well suited to causing pain and destruction but somewhat lacking in subtlety. It also would obey the rules of the spirit world rather than the mortal world (hard to say what some of these differences might be). Perhaps the best way to classify it is as magic that draws deeply upon the essential nature of it's user. Thus, to define the extent of the magic's abilities, you first have to define the character's nature. Also, judging by the tendency of demons to be evil, this magic would be easier to turn to destructive ends. Next, I'd be happy to enlighten everyone about "why Team Evil gets the first part" if I had any idea what exactly Raiden meant by that. First part of what? And if it's the first part of Talkatz, I think he means Team Good. I don't want to accidently spill any secrets from misunderstanding that. Finally, is it just me or is there only one person with Kurama (Drak)? EDIT: Okay, two people if you count Kiro. Versus Tsubasa, Kirakiri, Yaburu, Ayame, Chikane (tired) and Raikotsu. |
But Raiden said you had the reason why Team Good gets the first piece, so PM us with it! Or, forward Raiden's PM to us.
|
Ah yes, I just had a closer look of that PM and noticed something that I'd semi-forgotten. Raiden wishes Team Good to get the legs so Talkatz would turn up and explain certain things to Team Evil about how the age of magic is ending, to be replacing by the dawning age of technology. Thus he wants his body back as soon as possible in order to stop this.
Personally I don't see how it depends on who gets the legs. If Team Evil were to get them, Talkatz could basically go, "Congratulations. Now I will explain why recovering my body is so important." |
Yeah, that doesn't really make sense to me either. Especially since, in Feudal Japan, technology didn't appear for a LONG time.
