Solaris VII: discussion, and banter

Let's discuss

Truce 08-11-2005 10:15 PM

Let's see...if I'm right, Mutekiyari should mean something like "Invincible Spear." Mutekiyarou should be "Invincible Bastard," I think.

In any case...

Sigil grinned, accelerating his Atlas forward. All seemed clear, no enemies in sight; but then again they had just started. Nothing could possibly go wrong yet.

Or, so he thought, before 30 missiles slammed into his cockpit.

"Idiot! He's on our team!"

"Someone -told- me to headshot him, I swear!"

Dante 08-11-2005 10:47 PM

And maybe it would have ended, if the thirty missiles had destroyed Sigil's Lucifer.

But they had not.

Firing blindly, Sigil turned his Atlas' AC/20, the one with "BFG" spraypainted on the side, and put two 180mm rounds through the man's cockpit. The flaming ruins of the Archer slumped to the ground.

"Whoops, someone scrambled my firing systems... I swear, I didn't mean to headshot that Invincible Bastard guy..."

Truce 08-11-2005 11:55 PM

Then Sigil's Lucifer exploded, due to damage to the nuclear reactor.

Closeby, the other members of Blaze's Warhawks sweatdropped. Except for Karen, who took a deep breath and called dibs on the Atlas before anyone else could, and she and the assault battlemech lived hapilly ever after.

The end.

Ahem. Fusion reactor. :)

Sounds about right... Anyway, so... First simulator mission, what shall we do? A good ol introduction to the battle system I'd suppose.

Dante 08-12-2005 07:31 AM

And in the sequel, Dante strangles Ecurt in the afterlife, because Atlases are hard to come by, as well as haunting Karen's sanitizer unit for fanservice.

EDIT: I second the simulator mission.

Astral Harmony 08-12-2005 07:59 AM

Have her haunt Tillie's unit as well. You can never have enough fan service.

Truce 08-12-2005 10:14 AM

Tillie: Wow, you looked so sexy, piloting that Atlas like that...let's have random hot shower locker sex!
Karen: Okay!
Raviel: See, it's not so bad being a ghost.
Sigil: Shut up and hand me the popcorn.

PhoenixFlame 08-12-2005 12:54 PM

*Tsk Tsk* This is not an omake thread, gentlemen.

Now, what shall our first simulator mission be? Split up into two teams and fight each other, or something similar?

http://javascript.internet.com/games/dice-roller.html

Here is a dice roller we roll 2d6 a result of 2 is auto failure, and sometimes a weapon jam. A 12 is auto sucess and you get a critical hit too.

The base number for skill rolls are the characteristic - skill.

my base gunnery roll would need to be a roll of 3 to hit a stationary target, at short range, if i'm not moving.

http://www.sarna.net/btech/bt-board-tables-bmr.shtml

Here are the tables that tell you how the target number changes

If I'm running, at long range, overheating slightly, and my opponent is walking in open terrain my target numer is 11 hard to achive but it is possible.

I'll tell you if a piloting check is needed, mostly they won't be unless you just got rocked by alot of weapons fire, or you're walking on rocky terrain.

You guys are free to do your own rolls, but if I feel you are cheating I will take over for you in that regard. I'm a very suspicios person especially if you start making several miraculous shots in a row.
