Since Nathano got a critical hit on Chocobo, and Squishy I believe said it was a Gyro hit, and I've already scored a Gyro hit on him...

Dosen't that mean his Gyro is destroyed? (Auto fall-down?)

Squishy Cheeks 08-15-2005 07:22 AM

yeah two gyro hits is auto fall, your mech has no equilibrium now. roll 1d6
impact location
1 front
2 right side
3 right side
4 back
5 left side
6 left side

you'll take 10 x (the number of levels fallen+1)% of your mechs weight in damage to that side and now you are prone, but you can still fire on people you are facing.

PhoenixFlame 08-15-2005 08:24 AM

Chocobo's Centurion fell. Not Dante's Atlas.

Unless he failed a piloting check from massive damage, which is possible. ;)

Dante 08-15-2005 09:15 AM

I hit Ecurt with every weapon that could still fire on my Atlas. That's 40 damage right there, 25 of it on his Center Torso.

Did I also mention I critted it 4 times? :p

Squishy Cheeks 08-15-2005 09:17 AM

3 by my count.

2 from the ac 20
1 from the medium laser.

Dante 08-15-2005 09:19 AM

I rolled a 2 on the hit location. Shouldn't they stack with the natural 12?

PhoenixFlame 08-15-2005 09:25 AM

No, they wouldn't stack. You'd only get one critical roll, I think.

Anyway, Ecurt's mech isn't destroyed, I think. Prone and in the way of a massive, angry atlas, yes, so about as good as destroyed.

Squishy Cheeks 08-15-2005 09:29 AM

phoenix is right. I explained this to you in an I.M.

Truce 08-15-2005 10:18 AM

Raviel just learned rule #1: Never tango with an Atlas.

Anyway, it would be a bad thing if that was able to completely destroy a heavy mech like that; less to salvage later on.

PhoenixFlame 08-15-2005 10:21 AM

Eh, you could have gotten a shot off at him from prone, but I suppose I'd have ejected too. ;)
