Stephanie cringed as she was handed the gun. "You know I'm not any good with these things..." She grumbled softly.

"It's better than nothing... Now let's get out of this room and give the idiot captain a good talking-to... "

...with my fist, he didn't say.

Virgil ducked a goblin's swipe and launched it across the room with a swift kick to the groin, knocking down another of his half-illusory compatriots. Then, a fully equipped Uruk-Hai warrior came lunging at them, sword drawn, frothing at the mouth.

Virgil suddenly felt very, very small and very, very helpless.

"Uhm....uh.." Stephanie stammered a bit as the Uruk-Hai came rushing towards them. She then noticed that Virgil was pretty much doing the same thing... just staring as it ran head on at them. "Virgil! Snap outta it!"

She pushed him aside, unloading at the Uruk-Hai warrior. (Yeah, she lied. She's not COMPLETELY horrible with guns. -_-) Not that it did any good other than to piss it off further. In fact, she started to notice that the creatures that didn't have fatal wounds were just getting back up and surrounding them again. She stumbled over towards Virgil as the warrior once again got ready to take a swing at them, just shutting her eyes tightly.

We're dead....

*wanders in*
*sees an Urk-Hai charging some people*
*Looks down at his pilfered bottle of vodka*
*sighs and gives a sad shake of his head*
*throws said bottle at Uruk-Hai's head*

A bottle impacts aginst the orc's head, drawing the enraged creature's attention toward the new threat.

"Hi ya! I have a great respect for orcish efficiency but i'm afraid i can't just stand here while you kill those people. Would you mind getting your supervisor ner'zhul so i can have a chat with him about your performance?

The orc stares at the newcomer with a confused look. Gerek presses his advantage, "Now now, don't just stand there! You supervisor wishes to speak with me! Go and get uh, him? right now! Hurry!"

The orc nods and runs off, presumably to get his superior.

Gerek shakes his head, "It's a pity they're so stupid."

"More like a mercy. Normally I'd ask "who the hell are you" followed by "what the hell are you doing here", but considering you saved our lives a simple "Thanks" sounds better. Thanks, by the way. Do you know how to get out of this room?"

"Wha? I dun no. I've just been wondering around, enjoying the scenery. I assume eventually someone's going to shut off the holoprojectors...or at the very least kill the hard light systems."

ooc: Think I might jump in, but a question...this is a sci-fi deal, so later on will there be lasers and plasmas and other zappy things?

Benjamin Alder is a 1st lieutenant with the Colonial Marine Corps, and was dispatched with the rest of his squad to secure the Coral Vanda against attacks from terrorist factions of the enemy, in light of the approaching war. But now he braced against the wall of the cruise liner, struggling to get ahold of the uruk's neck..his hand slipped into place and a dully satisfying crack told him he was done. He let the stank-ass body fall limp to the floor and picked up his Gov't issue MP-10, and listened again for gunshots..he heard one more, and ran down the hall towards the sound.
As he ran, he couldn't help but wonder out loud "I haven't seen one of those outside of my 12th edition Monster Manual..."

OOC: Anything goes here, really.

"In case you haven't noticed..." She still clung on tightly to Virgil after having been saved by Gerek. "...those things may have BEEN holographic, but now there out for blood. Crazy psycho holograms" Steph nuzzled her face into Virgil's shoulder.

Virgil grinned and patted Stephanie on the head.

"Doan worry, darlin', " he cooed in a faux Stepinfetchit accent. "We'll make it through..."

He looked up to Gerek. "Now do you know a way out of ehre or will I have to beat all these Uruk-Hai to death with my bare hands?"
