I love optical illusions. Even though they always hurt my eyes.

I'm not quite sure this thread belongs here though. Maybe this would be better suited in off-topic?

[edit] Oh! Welcome to Nuklear Power Forums. Read the rules and things should go good. Enjoy your stay! [/edit]

A mod'll come around soon enough to move it. Also, links for the lazy:
Introduction thread
Main rules thread ( I suggest going through the whole sub forum, but this is the basics )
Guide to the Control Panel In case you can't figure something out yourself.

In the mean time:
Optical Illusions are awesome. I randomly clicked around on those, and I think I liked #'s 57 and 80 the best.

And lo, it was moved to general, as it does not deserve the spam treatment.

I love optical illusions. I'm part of that group on StumbleUpon. I can't find them now. I will look through my vast amount of bookmarks for some cool ones.

Ah, here's one I remember, that could be considered an optical illusion. Maybe more of a mindfuck:

Whoa. #289 really messes with your head.

That seems impossible. Impossible I say!

adamark 08-31-2005 11:56 AM

I know the answer to #289.
The fact is that you aren't looking at a triangle. You're looking at a parallelogram. In otherwords, it's a trapazoid with such a small angle that your brain looks at it and says "triangle" and it looks quite like the real triangle next to it. The very very small angle is exactly 1 of those square areas. Brilliant, isn't it?
