The Halo movie
 

Im was not sure if I should put this in the video games part of the fourm or the general, but if anyone has electronic gaming monthly they have herd of the halo movie, you think they will screw up the movie or do it justice?

Keep in mind the way movie producers tend to muddle up things with the exception of a few things.

One more thing the movie is expected to come out in 2007
so whats your opinion?

It'll make my eyes bleed and I'll desire to consume the flesh of the man who butchered it. With a spork.

It'll probably suck. Unless of course it's a cg movie made using actual Halo or improved Halo graphics. That would work. That would do nicely. But they won't do it. Damnable star talent! And I swear, if they pick Vin Diesel or whatever to play it, he's next on my list of cannibalized franchise killing movie people.

Dude I doute it will be a cg movie, but if it sucks heads are goana get smacked around i'm talking to you bill gates you better not screw this up !

I don't have anything against it being live action. It COULD work as live action. Expecially if the same kind of work that went into, say, LotR, or even Pitch Black, goes into this movie.

Also, before you say that they'll be using bad-looking puppets as the Covenant, remember, this is Microsoft's brainchild. I imagine their dollars are going behind this.

Anyways, I think it would be hard to muddle this one up, as it has a definite plot down and stuff, but you never know... I'm just being optimistic... Which is weird...

Anyways, that's my two cents.

from what i've heard about it, its gonna be based off of one of the Halo books, and not one of the games. so, it at least has a better chance of not sucking since it'll be based off of something more akin to script format. however i have been let down far too many times to let myself put faith in a video game movie just yet.

As long as it's not a Red vs. Blue movie I'm gonna stay away from it. :p

If Ewe Bowel has ANYTHING to do with the movie, I'm not watching. But I'd love to see about the first book and John's background (good story)

I'm going to go ahead and give this movie more of a chance than you guys. I heard that Bungie has full creative control over this thing, so I doubt the story will be ruined. Even though Bungie themselves could always do something stupid, one would think they would feel deeply about their story.

So let's start the speculation. Actors and roles?

Bruce Willis - every single character.

The same company that halved Halo 2 to appease fan boys across the globe with a much hyped but short game?

The guys are prone to mistakes. I don't know if they should be in the movie business.
