Ya know I was kind of hoping someone would come in with a power like that. I mean physical powers are nice but having more subtle ones adds diversity.
Edit: Stage 3 alters pretty much beat everything not stage 3. Two stage three alters against each other and it comes down to who fights better. Which usually ends in a draw and a really impressive light show. |
Fuzzy and I are SO having a Form 3 duel.
|
I totally want in, will write bio and such tomorrow during the day . . .
|
If a lot of people decide to go natural, I may end up saying that I was refined. If we're all going to get our second forms in the first chapter or so, that's a LOT of pissed off people. I don't know how we'd hold them all.

See the wonderful thing about the way this is RP is going to run is that the part of the story having to do with the advancement of your powers is totally made up by you. Also, since your not on big huge group there is nothing saying that all these stories about gaining your second power have to happen at the same time much less in the same place. In fact, they don't have to happen in the same time period as the main story. Writing it as a flashback will work fine. Like maybe your fighting a strong alter from a person you don't like that much and you keep remembering the first time you called up your alters second form.
Yes I know this is slightly different then what I said earlier but I think it'll go better this way. Oh and it doesn't have to be anger. Any extreme emotion will do just anger is the first to come to mind usually. |
I'm interested, just give me time to write up a character.
I should also warn you that I didn't see too many episodes of s-CRY-ed...maybe one or two, so I'm at somewhat of a disadvantage here. Character coming soon. EDIT As promised, my character. Since I don't know the backstory of s-CRY-ed, I'll take the loser's route and be the token "memory-loss man." I only know the stuff that's posted as the wikipedia article on s-cry-ed. Hopefully, I'm not messing things up too much. Name: Nathaniel Downing, or "Nat" Age: 22 Gender: Male Description: Nat is tall, somewhere around 6'5". His hair is brown, with streaks of highlights brought about by long periods in the sun. He has the build of someone who does hard work for a living. His eyes are ice blue, but are somewhat lifeless. Personality: Nathaniel is, at heart, a nice guy. However, he is still coming to grips with life, and with the fact that he has no memory of his past. He wonders if he forgot for a reason, or if someone made him forget. Bio: The first thing Nathaniel recalls is waking up. When he woke, all he knew was his name. When he opened his eyes, he was surrounded by fire and death. When a group of four men attacked him, his alter manifested, helping him kill the other men. The clothes he wore seemed to be some kind of uniform, but they were torn to shreds, and Nathaniel was unable to tell what faction he had belonged to. Blood covered his body...whether it was his or not, he couldn't tell. Whether he had tried to protect the village, or had been part of it's destruction, he couldn't tell. His only clue was a trail leading out of the village. Grasping this one hope, Nathaniel follows it. Nathaniel has no clue as to his past...he only just woke up. The truth is, Nathaniel was "refined", and placed within the Dars group. His memory loss is a side-effect of this. More to come later tonight. I got to run now. If I messed anything up, please tell me. Like I said, I don't have very much experience with s-CRY-ed. EDIT 2: Thanks to everyone for the alter advice. Alter Name: Draconis Alter Description: Form 1: Draconis appears as a human sized metallic dragon. The metal is a dark, metallic grey in color. The dragon is not very ornate. Primary weapons include claws, teeth, a spiked tail, and an energy blast breath weapon, which packs roughly the firepower of a RPG, strong enough to destroy armored vehicles. Draconis has the ability to fly in this form, but not at a very high altitude or speed. The eyes glow blue. Form 2: Draconis increases in size, from human-sized to about the size of the fel-beast the Nazgul ride in the LotR movies. The claws become longer and sharper. He grows an additional pair of wings behind the pair he already had. His skin turns from black to a dark red. The horns on the head of Draconis also extend. The alter can now fly higher. The engery weapon now has two firing modes: Rapid fire, which allows Draconis to fire smaller burst of energy that hit with the power form 1 breath weapon, or enhanced: Like the form one breath weapon, but much strong. Instead of likening it to an RPG, the blast now hits with the destructive force of a cruise missile. The armor of Draconis is more ornate. The eyes grow green. He is faster and can fly to the same alitudes of airplanes. Top speed is around Mach 1.2 Form 3: Draconis grows to the size of Bahamut in FFIX, as tall as a building. He grews yet another pair of wings, and his horns extend even more. He turns from the red color to a shade of blue. He is now able to fly at sub-orbit altitudes. His standard breath weapon how has the power of a small nuclear warhead, and his rapid-fire breath weapon how has the strenght of his form 2 breathweapon...so it's basically a rapid-fire volley of cruise missiles. The eyes glow red. Top speed is Mach 3. So, yeah...I ripped of the Bahamuts from FFVII...but it works! :p |
Ugh... I really made this too long... Apologies in advance for those who don't like to slog through detailed explanations that take a long time to read.
Name: Kaita Ikagi (hey, the Lost Ground IS in Japan...) Age: 19 Gender: Male Description: About 5’11” with black hair and green eyes, almost like emeralds. He wears a navy blue shirt with an open leather vest, jeans, and boots. Personality: Although he can be talkative, he’s more of the quiet type. Keeping to himself most of the time seems to make people think he’s always sad or down, when really he’s just fine. Really, he’s just trying to get by without getting involved in anything other than what he has to, making him more of a lone wolf. Other than that, he’s quite normal, and is content with what he does. Bio: Kaita lived happily during his life, living with his mother and father happily, not knowing he was an alter user. It was only when he was about ten that he discovered his powers. He was lucky no one got shot in that time, because he didn’t know quite how to fire the guns on his arms (he uses certain thoughts as a trigger), and pretty much made swiss cheese of the room he was in before he could gain control. While the fact that he had an alter wasn’t exactly something worth ignoring him for, the fact that his powers could be so destructive while he lost control was. This turned him into the lone wolf characterization that he is now. For years on end Kaita worked on controlling every aspect of his power, from the basics of accuracy to what position he could take to brace for almost any kind of recoil. While he could only control his first form during this time, he was confidant he could put his power to good use at this point. It was at this time, when he was about sixteen, that he said goodbye to his family, and left to be a mercenary. While not exactly what thought it would be, it still let him get by, and he’s been doing that ever since. Alter Name: Omega Arsenal Alter Description: Stage 1: In this stage, Kaita’s arms get covered in a sleek, lightweight material that almost looks like a kind of flexible, bright blue (almost white), undiscovered crystal. This extends to his back, which forms a kind of extension that seems kind of like a backpack that covers primarily his right side. Protruding from the arm covers on Kaita’s forearms are two large nubs, one on each side, made of the same material. These are actually guns that use up barely any of his energy (so no ammo to worry about), but are very weak (at least when fighting another alter user). To make up for the weakness and just in case an enemy gets too close, his hands have spikes extending out past his knuckles, like very small knives stuck to his hands. For his super attack, his ‘backpack’ actually starts to come into play. Unfolding into a gigantic shoulder mounted energy cannon, Kaita’s right arm get covered in it, making it seem like a bigger version of before. He gets two shots with this cannon: One for the cover on his left arm, and one for the one on his right (kind of like Kazuma’s three-shot thing in the series). Stage 2: At this stage, Kaita’s whole back, shoulders, neck, and some of his head, are covered in that same, sleek material. His back is actually one giant ‘backpack’ now, with an obvious split in the middle. His head also has something covering his eyes, that isn’t quite a visor or a pair of glasses. This puts a crosshair on whatever his arms are aiming at, with one for each arm. His arms have also changed a lot, the nubs on his forearms looking more like guns. In fact, they’ve gone from the equivalent of a submachine gun to something more like a gatling gun, while the spikes on his hands extend farther out past his knuckles. Along with the one gun on his forearm, there are also three more for the sides and bottom of his forearms, making four for each arm, each one being perfectly calibrated in the alter to not hit his arm and actually shoot what Kaita’s aiming for. Also, there are four small guns on his shoulder, two on top of his shoulders, two on his upper arms, that aim at what he’s looking at thanks to his visor (think Predator, only four plasma casters at once). These aren’t draining, like the ones on his arm, but every shot tends to be easy to dodge, so he really only uses them when he knows they’ll hit, but can use them on full auto when he needs to. As for his super shot, he now has two cannons instead of one. However, instead of actually covering his arm and obscuring his arm guns, now they hover about a foot over his shoulders. Also, since they hover, Kaita doesn’t have to concentrate on the tremendous recoil of the guns, so he can just unleash every gun on his body at the time. Unlike his first form, he can only use this once, but it’s tremendously powerful, and nearly impossible to dodge at close range just because of the sheer number of projectiles. Stage 3: At this point, Kaita’s entire body is just an entire suit. Anything that would make him resemble a human is gone, as his face is completely covered with no see-through object to look through or any semblance of a face at all, his limbs look like they could bend in any direction, and, overall, he looks like he’s made of some sort of gel come to life (yes, his alter isn’t really segmented like most shown in the series) when all of the guns aren’t taken into account. The four guns on his forearms have been moved up closer to his wrist, while four more extend up over the original four, making sixteen total, each one being more powerful than three of the stage two arm guns, and fire at an almost impossible rate. The spikes on his wrists have become even longer, making formidable close range weapons. He has fourteen of the tracking guns, four on each upper arm, and three each on his shoulders. There are four bigger versions of the arm guns on his torso, and three more of the big guns per thigh. These seem to somehow be linked to the arms on his guns, firing on anything his arms point at when Kaita is aiming forward. Then there are the guns on his back. When they unfold, instead of two huge guns, there are now four compact versions of them, hovering around him when he calls them out. When he uses this attack, there really isn’t much that can be done about avoiding it. The guns on his arms, chest, shoulders, and legs even seem to charge up for each individual shot. While they don’t fire at full auto, the sheer number of charged shots makes it even harder to avoid than in his second stage. If something takes the full force of every shot fired in this barrage, there’s no guarantee that it’ll live past that moment, not to mention the devastating force of the explosion if the blast hits near the target. I know it looks like I've got too many guns to count, but really, they're not that powerful compared to what other alter users can do. They're like normal guns, power-wise (except for in stage three), they just have really high numbers and fire faster as the stage goes up. Plus, he's pretty much useless in H2H combat, so don't expect him to pull something out of his ass when you get up close, because all he's got are those hand spikes. Once again, apologies for this really long and detailed explanation, but I really got carried away once I got into the groove. I just had to explain everything at once when I got the picture in my head. EDIT: Just added a few more of the tracking guns to the final form for some reason. And just for fun, the total number of guns in his final form equals 44 with the new tracking guns. Talk about a shitload of guns... And I'm usually the one in an RP that holds back... Oh man this'll be different for me. |

All naming conventions are out the window ^_^ |
If Fuzzy ditches, then you are SO my rival.
And if you're my rival, you'll need to be a quiet but arrogant Alter user, since the crazy fighter position is taken by me. |
Hm, forgot about him... Well, you make a good point. It just annoys me that I'm the only one with a character that has a Japanese name in Japan... Ah well, I don't want everyone to change their names, I just found it odd.
EDIT: Raiden: Heh, that'll be fun... Although we can't really imitate the series (since that was what you were getting at), because Kaita isn't really arrogant. Quiet is a definite yes, though. Hmmm... Maybe I could work on something to fix that though... |
