Meister 09-17-2005 02:03 PM

What kind of poll? And what for? Do you do this on other forums too?

Durk-A-Dur 09-17-2005 02:06 PM

yes. i am doing this on other forums. there all over the place. i just want to see if im the ONLY person that dont care about 9/11 anymore. now, when i say dont care, i mean im not all " boo hoo---sadzz" abotu it. yeah it sucked, but oh well, move on....

Meister 09-17-2005 02:20 PM

Hmm. Well, I hope you intend to stay around - don't take it the wrong way, but we're not too fond of people who sign up only to do a poll or, even worse, advertise something. I don't know if you saw the thread on libertarianism in Discussion, but that's the kind of stuff that makes us think this way.

(If you didn't: someone registered an username for the sole purpose of stating "hey libertarianism sucks!" hoping to stir up shit. Your common internet troll.)

Point being whether you thought "this is a cool community, I'll ask them" or if you just randomly looked for big forums. Meh. Answers can't be guaranteed either way and this thread's fate is pending.

Well, I'm sure that most people don't think about it every day. But... it did happen a few years ago. It still effects us in other ways, however, which would be why people are still talking about it.

It would take a blackhole of a heart not to care. But of course people aren't dwelling on it.

My suggestion:

Please use the spell check. I can understand the conversation but it's better to use punctuation and capitalization where needed.

In terms of 9/11, I was out of the country. I saw what happened and it didn't affect me nor my family who live outside of NY. I wondered about the Pentagon (which has been ignored) and wondered about the search for the "culprit" Bin Laden.

I doubt this will happen again on such a scale. Looking at the ramifications and what passed in Congress because of 9/11, I'm looking at a few things more than what happened on that day. I still have to live. Worrying about a few buildings that were demolished ~3 years ago is nothing. It just didn't affect me that way.
Sorry to those that don't like my view.

I have no family members who were in the incident. As such it didn't involve me in any way, so I didn't spend very much time thinking about it.

To be honest, the only reason I still actually remember it is because it's also coincidentally my big bro's birthday (A blessing and a curse. =\).

PyrosNine 09-17-2005 03:45 PM

I really don't tend to care too much about anything unless it truly affects me greatly, and even then I forget about it completely until something jogs my memory. As much as I know or care, 9/11 happened, it was bad, and people died. That's it.

I do fear I may be a bit insensitive about it, but It has not affected me in any way other than the new rules and policies that were started after it. My Uncle David was in new york at the time, but nowhere near the Twin towers. My relatives are all in texas and Tennessee, so I am not related to anyone who died in the attacks, nor do I have any acquaintances who have stated they had known or were related to the deceased.

Nevermind. Fuck it. He's banned. His 9/11 thing? Yeah he posted in theirs as well. His feelings were "nobody cares that your dad died! nobody cares nobody cares nobody cares." That's almost a direct quote. This kid is a flamer and a troll and I for one won't miss him for a second.
