Perditions Tale, Chapter 16: "Reunion"
 

A few days had passed since Cesia and the others had reached Aviona. Cesia, Lynx, and Dawn had been busy meeting with the Avionan officials and discussing what steps were to be taken to stop Cid, and if the Avionans would help them.

The last few days had been especially bad for Cesia. She lost a lot of sleep, worrying about the others. She was often found pacing the halls and looking out the tall windows of the castle, as if she expected them to come back any second.

One day, as she was in her guest room of the castle, a messanger ran in. After giving a slight bow to apologise for his intrusion, he informed her that the survivors who had stayed behind to fight at Alba had arrived and were being taken care of in the castles large infirmary.

"What?! They're back?" Without waiting for an answer, she jumped up and dashed down the long hallways to the infimary. The messanger went on to find Lynx and Dawn to inform them of the news.
She noted that the messanger had said 'survivors' and she prayed that all of her friends had made it.

She entered the large infirmary, they were lucky that Aviona was so well equipped, most every patient had their own bed. A few of the less-injured ones were lying on couches or sitting on the floor. Her eyes quickly scanned the room, looking for any familiar faces.

(OOC: Alright. We're all together again. So hopefully I got everything right. ^_^;; Just lemme know if I should change anything. I forgot, did Thid go with Lynx, Cesia, and Dawn?)

OOC: No he stayed behind with us. *sniffle* And it would probably be good for someone to note that Ark is absent.

Tamakatari was being pushed onto an infirmary bed by a couple of the nurses. His head wound had gotten infected, and the burns on his palms needed treatment. But he wasn't willing.

"You aren't going to do anything until I make sure that the princess is alright. Got me?" Three of the nurses held him down.

"I'm sorry sir, but you need to get healed. You'll see your princess, but not until your wounds have been taken care of. You're lucky to still be alive." They took the soiled bandages off his head, and wrapped on some fresh ones. Tamakatari ripped away from them, and grabbed one of them by the collar.

"I'll give you five seconds to tell me where my angel is. If not, then somebody in this infirmary is gonna die, and it ain't gonna be the people on those beds, if you get my drift."

"Tamakatari, why speak and act so rash? You know there are other ways of getting things. Like asking others to check for you."

Kalimare had been in the midst of everything without anyone noticing much. He had several wounds that he was tending to, including his near-useless left arm due to the strange weapon used in the battle and the fact that it was the arm that had been bitten a while back. The arm hung in a sling while Kalimare stood at the end of Tamakatari's bed.

"So, do you want me to check for you?"

"Want me to put him to sleep?" Lynx said from behind the nurses who were trying to get Tama down.

He had to be one of the survivors...

Tamakatari's right eye began to twitch.

"I didn't get hacked, slashed, beaten up, hit, and almost blown up to get talked down by a bunch of bird-people in white gowns. Show me the princess, or I'm REALLY gonna do something insane." Tamakatari looked at Lynx.

"Touch me, and I'll make you wish you were still licking cream from a bowl on the floor, got me?" He then looked at Kalimare, with his eye still twitching.

"No offense, big guy, but I don't trust anyone. Either I see her, or there's gonna be trouble."

Vace was in a bed close to Tama, being treated for a nasty stab from a spear he took in his side. "Calm down there Tama, I'm sure the princess made it here fine." Vace leaned up, bringing a bit of pain and a harsh look from his nurse, and said, "Hey, there she is. Cesia, over here!" Vace waved at her.

Lynx sighed, then began to chant a little. A couple seconds later, he tapped Tama on the head. "Good night..." As hard as Tama tried, he would eventually fall asleep, but only for a minute or two. Just long enough for a couple of quick healing from the nurses.

Tamakatari turned and looked at Lynx.

"Damn it! I warned you, Lynx! Now you pissed me off!" Tamakatari could feel himself get drowsy, but he still managed to stumble onto Lynx and wrap his hands in a strangle hold. He was now slumbering with his hands wrapped tightly around Lynx's neck.

OOC: When your asleep, you don't have much of a grip.

Lynx pushed Tama off him, then sighed as the healers put Tama back on his bed and began to heal him.
